^I know what you mean, I've also seen a couple of guys that each week sport a bunch of different things and after a week or two those are gone replaced by the next 'awesome product'. What's sad that there are obviously many that take their advertising as gospel.

I know, I know, I was just wondering if there was a chance to get a personalized jacket with some more length. Trying to get one without raw measurements might be too hard considering the language barrier

It would be nice to know what the raw measurements are on that type 1 ie how much the jacket shrinks

The lenght of that type 1 is just 62 cm? Probably would not work for me as I'm 191 / 6'3", still intrigued, though, as the rest of the measurements might work
QuoteDoes anyone know if the website uses circular or lay flat measuring method?

Sorry, if this has been answered already, but what denim has been used on that type 1? Is there a link where you can see the full sizing tables?

Volvo, I thought you were already using a sand blaster to your TCBs

I don't mind food, drinks etc in relevant threads but I would prefer that the pics (most of them anyway) would be within spoiler-tags; those interested could take a look. The same goes to denim pics as well, especially when quoting a post.

Any idea when that type1 might be available?

I'd love to grab one of those but I guess I'm out of luck as I'm 6'3". Do they make sizes 46 or 48?

^same here...I heard rumours of the 1101 in the anni denim, but am not sure now. But anothehr cut wouldn't be a real option so I'll wait.
In the meantime I washed my FC for the first time in the machine to get ´some roping going, also because I don't think that FC benefits from too high contrast. Not much fading going on, but the roping came out quite nice (it's not the original hem). 2,5 months, 1 machine and two handwashes, bought in onewash state.
These look great at just 2,5 months! Just wondering how you manage to do this. I've been wearing a pair of PBJs for the last 6 months with probably 4,5 months of actual wear. You guys seem to get during the same 6 month period 12 months of actual wear on your multiple pairs. Just don't get it! But really enjoying your posts!

What volvo said. It seems to be pretty big considering the drooping shoulders and the length of the jacket and sleeves. Give it wash 30C -> 40C -> 60C until it fits.

My question is how do we support these businesses long term once we have more than our current needs?
There will always be new generations buying these, can't foresee denim going anwhere. Regarding the 300$ ceiling most denim brands are still far from Visvim pricing. And Visvim manages to sell otherwise they would not be in business. If you are not willing to pay more, I think there's lots of people who are. Looking at western brands, eg. RgT and 3sixteen, they seem to be doing ok, it seems that many of their products are sold out pretty quickly.

I suspect that outside Japan the majority of PBJ stuff has been and will be sold by local brick and mortar or web shops. OD and Denimio might be 'big' on sufu but I doubt that this is the case with the majority of western customers buying PBJ. And that's why neither they nor PBJ will suffer by the price hike.

My god, to have even one pair looking like that!

When those 60s are at their best save them for special occasions, you have one pair of faded and one new, don't you?

I've made 2 purchases from OD and neither were 'caught' by customs as the value had been marked low enough. Without customs charges they are now on par with RH, with customs much higher obviously.

When looking at the new RgT offering, I find them bland, too minimalistic, when compared with eg. 3Sixteen ss17 lookbook

One thing the japanese have over american brands is proprietary fabrics if that is of interest. RgT just got their own, what about 3sixteen, Railcar etc?

First OT: I can't believe in the naivete in the thinking that Trump's protectionism will benefit anyone in the end. Most US industry rely on international market, domestic market alone just won't cut it. He is trying to force feed US.products on international market and at the same time block international competition with heavy taxes/customs charges. Where's the fairness in that? Eventually others will follow suit and start blocking US products locally. And US industry suffers. Way to go!
But back to PBJ and OD. It is obvious that PBJ is the biggest brand at OD and thus has a major voice and OD just can't lose PBJ at the moment, otherwise they would be a much smaller business very soon. It may be that after a while they have other brands and they may even drop PBJ but that is not possible right now. Of course this is bad for OD business as it relies on intarnational customers, I doubt that they have any role in japanese market. But they have no choice. I doubt that Denimio will follow suit and raise prices at the same rate as they have much broader representation of brands.
If the final cost, including shipping, taxes, customs, etc, of PBJ (or any other brand) seems too high, you can proxy. Many proxies allow you to devalue the product and thus you can lower the local customs and tax charges at least. Of course this is much higher than current PBJ prices but will be lower than the alternative.

I've got a Spiewak n-3b and like it a lot, so I'm probably biased. Same applies to b-3 too, here's a taste of my Eastman mixed batch b-3:

If you're looking at down jackets I'd pick Spiewak Golden fleece n-3b. Deck jacket options are Real McCoys and Buzz Rickson. Why not a leather jacket, b-3?

Waiting for my 170. Didn't manage to cop one from IH but got one from Statement, going to get it sometime next week. Max, how is the fit, as you expected?

Yep, there are 'lots' of standard length type 1s around but not many that might fit taller people. And if other measurements would be spot on also this time around

On the other hand I just can't stay interested in a feed full of denim macros or pics of fades. I prefer to see how denim and other garments are combined to make a coherent and wearable whole.
