Thanks for the feedback everyone, I’m still torn because I like the unique look of the Ooe but the FC jacket is classic. I’ve got like a week to decide since the cutoff for the SE order is the 1st. In an ideal world I’d get both but not quite sure I can swing it right now...

I say go for the Fine Creek Leathers jacket. It’s a classic cut and will never go out of style. That Ooe one is all kinds of ugly to my eyes but that’s me

Yeah I have bought and sold many pairs over the past few years. Most of the pairs I've sold were due to not fitting. If those 634's you bought from me fit I'd still have them. And yeah I do get excited about new releases. Some models I know I have to have, and some I'm just curious about them due to hype/interest - whether from here or elsewhere.

I haven't purchased new jeans in 2 yrs. I kinda did the same thing where I went on a denim buying splurge, and after a couple of costly mistakes I decided to cut my losses. I probably have over a dozen pairs of jeans in my closet and only a fraction of those get worn on a regular basis. I know my measurements pretty well now so feel more comfortable trying new denim....it's just hard for me to justify buying another pair when I have so many unworn pairs collecting dust.

I'm realizing the 2nd hand denim market has gone soft. I haven't been in this game as long as some folks here, but it wasn't that long ago that I was able to move several different brand's pairs for a decent price. I have IH, TFH, TSG and Tanuki - all quality pairs, brand-new or like-new - that I'm trying move with little interest

I'm only willing to go so low before it's not worth it to me to sell them. I now know I won't get close to what I paid for them, but I'd rather keep them in my meager collection than sell them super cheap. I'm not trying to get rid of them just to get rid of them.

My take is that getting something for your jeans is better than nothing, even if it's only 50% of what you paid. I know that really sucks but you'll end up staring at those jeans in your closet and want them gone sooner or later. Maybe try a BIN for $300-350 and accept offers slightly below that amount?

Why put a low BIN? Just start the auction at $1 and advertise it on IG.

That’s assuming he has a lot of followers on IG. Lots of scammers on eBay too, so doing a BIN guarantees payment

Are you referring to my jeans I'm trying to sell? They are not custom made for me, I bought them at a store. They were from a small run that WHR did just for that store.

If you're referring to someone hypothetical who had WHR make a custom pair, then I agree, resale on custom made-to-measure anything will be low.

If I were you i'd just chuck them up on ebay with a lower BIN and see if anyone bites. You'll take a loss but at least you'd recoup some of your money back.

So forgive the ignorance, but why if people are waiting years for these jeans is the resell value so bad?

Or is it just that particular model?

Resale value is subjective. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay when it comes to the second hand market. I know it's a cliche but it's true. I still see brands I like up on ebay where the seller is charging an over-inflated price and their item sits for months and months. With that said, i'd say that most product, especially denim, will lose 30-50% of their value, unless it's a highly sought after grail item.

Doubtful anyone here will be interested, I'm moving my 1960 Steer Ryder's size 34. They're too big for me, and I'm not that into repros. Very nice jeans. Worn for a 1/2 day once or twice. Looking to get what I paid for them - four fitty.

Lawless actually took money and closed up shop with their orders still needing to be filled, including lawsuits.  I don't see WH going out of business.

WH is doing the same thing essentially. If people start filing complaints with the AG's office he'll definitely know about it. I mean, he keeps posting sad trombone face pics on his IG account complaining about paying customers that are complaining about not getting their stuff. Not very professional imho.

He seems to like talking about how quality takes time and that he's a one man operation. Ande Whall was a one man brand that did everything and in a timely fashion. The difference being that Ande took a sensible business approach to orders. He'd get a roll, make a limited number of denim from that roll and then get his jeans to customers. WH seems to make false promises and then has the audacity to take pot shots at customers that have been waiting a long time for product. If he can't deliver product then he shouldn't be in business. It's a Ponzi scheme. It's only a matter of time before sh*t hits the fan and he closes up shop.

The Flat Head asymmetrical leather jacket, or the Buco asymmetrical jacket.

Both look fantastic, but I fear I am not cool enough.

For me it's any moto jacket with a band collar. I'm not a motorcyclist so i'd feel like a poser. However, R&H has a Flat Head leather jacket with a standard collar that I think I could rock, even though it's technically a motorcycle jacket.

I noticed a huge difference in longevity once i started washing my jeans often.

same here. I have 1 pair in my rotation that I haven't washed yet and those are going on about 8 months of wear. Those already have holes in the cuff and the back of the knee. My other jeans though have been washed repeatedly and while there are a few bits of wear and tear on them the damage isn't as bad as my unwashed denim. With most of my denim though I usually do a cold soak in the tub to get rid of the starch, and then follow that with semi-regular washes.
