  1. Regarding import duties to USA for the foil 3A-3TS release...

caveat: I'm by no means an expert on this kind of stuff and only used the valuable info previously provided by @CARLOOA and @Voyager to corroborate my own Google-ing. PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

    • My order was placed on the evening of the 15th.
    • Didn't receive a shipment conf email from Acronym, but woke up today to an email from UPS informing me that $59.64 in duties are owed + the $11.00 brokerage fee UPS pockets (for fronting the duties on our behalf). A total of $70.64.
    • Phoned UPS and was told that the tariff code associated with the package is 4202.22.30.40 ; this code corresponds to a 7.4% duty rate.
    • Upon referring the code to the HTS cheat sheet (chp.42), I'd say that Acronym already provided UPS the most specific code (70% PA -nylon 30% PES -polyester) aka "man-made fibers."
    • With the most specific code already being assigned to the package, there's no chance that the duty percentage can be further lowered.

tldr: Pay up ; the 7.4% duty rate is as low as it's going to get for these 3A foil bags.

Anyone else have their paypal payment go through w/o an order confirmation from the main site?

Check your junk / spam folders.

Orders via the main site will get 2 emails:

    1. "Your order at ACRONYM" (containing pdf of invoice)

    2. "Your payment for ACRONYM" (confirming payment)

    for the non-Mandarin speaking friends...

host is 190cm, all garments he tries on are size Large

07.KMTR: regarding fidlock buckle closure, he says he could "sit at home and play with the contraption all day" lol ; bungee snap closure on back of shoe is also magnetic

EDIT: the shoes fit half size big. numerical sizing. (info from Jörg Haas)

button down shirt: the "jacket sling" is now held via rope instead of whatever it was before so it's sturdier / doesn't snap? (im not quite familiar with what he's referencing as this obviously isn't a problem with mainline jacketslings)

hoodie: mesh vent on hood for peripheral vision, he considers it to fit slim

pants: interchangeable aglets on drawcord, long zipper on lateral and medial thigh for ventilation (not pockets)

2 versions of shorts, one being very similar to the pants

poncho: white colour is semi-translucent; magnetic clasps on side; girl was wearing black colour in size M

J47R-GT is very similar to the original J47-GT except for several differences.

The original YKK zip has been swapped out for the new Raccagni zip, which doesn't have the Quick Release function.

Logo tapes have also been switched from vertical to horizontal.

Finally, reverse seam allowance is basically their new way of constructing the jacket with the fabric folded into the seams, which supposedly makes the overall jacket more durable.

Oh, and there's a second CF closure in the middle of the jacket. The J47-GT only had one CF closure nearer to the neck.

PSA: The original J47 and J47A that have vertical logo tape were for subnet pre-orders (when they still did pre-orders for individuals). This is also reflected in the stock pics from the main site.

Retailers received versions with horizontal logo / Forcelock tape.

just don't want anyone looking for an original 47/47A to freak out if you come across one with horizontal tape. :)

  6. Union was initially in store + online drop but then they realized they needed to backdoor items so they changed it to online only

edit- you wondering can why Union didn't have a small J1TS-S when their site went live? It's because an employee had already listed it on Grailed the night before their  Thursday release (that jacket is still listed btw). SUS

anyway, friends in LA who missed out on the butchered Union drop .. COMMISSARY in Costa Mesa will very likely be the last retailer to receive stock for this season. IN STORE today.. online tomorrow

p limited stock (no P25, no dual tone J1TS)

  7. Thanks for the replies.

I'm debating between a medium and large.

I'll have a good think. Unfortunately, I don't have the perk of being able to try on and return as I'll be buying second hand.

One last favour, would someone with the medium P20's be able to give a thigh measurement in cm's?

    Laid flat,

32.5 cm at the ~widest part of thigh

    23cm at knee articulation

    16cm at leg opening

  8. Hi guys,

Lurked here for a while and been an admirer of Acronym for a short while, finally going to start buying into the brand rather than just admiring from a far.

I would like a bit of sizing help, if you don't mind.

Looking to purchase a pair of P20's. From the research I've done and the measurements I've seen, I am leaning more towards the medium but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here.

I'm 6'2" and normally a 32"/ 33" waist. If it helps, I wear medium / 32 in Maharishi trousers and the 32" Veilance apparat pant fits well. If the Acronym measurements are correct, the 43cm waist on the P20's should be perfect, though from what I know you don't always judge Acronym trousers by the waist measurement. It appears that these aren't meant to gather at the waist like some of the wider fitting trousers, hence why I'm thinking medium.

    Apologise for the babble

were you thinking of Small or Large, if not the Medium?

I'm 6' and a true 32 waist. I wear Medium and they're perfect, both in terms of length and waist. The Stotz fabric doesn't stretch at all which is great. An awesome pant.

  9. Pretty sure the n4501 cargos did have stitching on the knees?

    (Pic is Haven stock photo.)

Not commenting on the grailed or taobao listing's authenticity but yeah.. the pants had stitching. I remember feeling some stitches give when I put on my size4 lmao . (Purchased from Haven.)

ya he's slinging fakes. the cargo pants have the stitch detailing on the knee in both the taobao and his version, but the actual cargo (n4501) has NO stitch detailing at knee.

also, same shop has marni pants that he's selling

  11. nice!  how do they fit?  i find that regular ss run small (imo), so i went ahead and ordered a half size bigger for these as well (haven't came in yet), BUT i've never physically examined the actual jawns and their material live so i dunno. thanx

i went tts and they fit great (i've never tried on the regular ss though).

funnily enough, i had heard the first edition ss knits ran big so i was worried these would be too big. not the case. i haven't taken mine off since i've gotten them!

as for ordering half size bigger, i think you'll be okay (unless your feet extremely narrow). i'm sure you could always buy a thicker insole if it really turns out to be a problem.
