Would it be possible to stock Lone Wolf boots at Self Edge? I've been wanting a pair of their engineers. There needs to be a shoe store in the states that carries Japanese boots like SE carries Japanese denim. Maybe customs would be a problem.

You're probably right about the limited results, Thinker. I will probably just tough it out and keep breaking them in by wearing them.

My Wesco Boss is standard black oiled leather. The black fire leather is really tough and stiff and, based on my experience (see #2895 in this topic), takes long time to break in. I'll post some more pictures soon.
Thanks for appreciating my boots
I almost wish I'd gotten the standard black leather instead of black fire. I'm considering dunking my boots in water and then wearing them until dry, supposedly that helps break them in.

I saw your black engineers on the Fedora Lounge. Very nice. What kind of leather are those Wescos? I'm breaking in a pair of black fire Wesco engineers, damn tough!

Thinker, you've got some nice shoes. I really dig those Pecos boots!

Those Viberg engineers look great. What kind of leather is that?

Cool. Just curious.

Hey Coleslaw, how often do you have your boots resoled?

Those look really nice, Jacek. Great build!

Sweet! Can't wait to check out the engineers in person at SENY.

Thanks for the info, Kiya. I look forward to trying out the engineer at SENY in Nov.

Hey Kiya, I heard that SE is going to carry some Ace Boots. Will you be getting their engineer boots? I'd really like to try a pair.

Willie's does great work, Finn. I don't think you have to worry about the sole. Congrats on your first pair of engineers!

I'm jealous of you guys who can size down, I'm a pretty solid size 28, so it's usually hard to find anything smaller in the US.

Seriously, be cool, dude.

Thanks Kiya, but I think my chicken legs would be swallowed in those!

Sugar Mountain, I went TTS, which for me is 28, so I usually can't size down anyway. I was looking for a straight, classic fit which I don't really have in my rotation right now. I think BIG's one washed measurements are pretty spot on for the raw after a couple soaks.

It seems like most/all of the RJBs that Self Edge carries have zippers.

One of the main reasons the SEXFHXRJB15 jean and all of RJB's jeans feel so soft after a few washes is because the fabric is made of a longer staple cotton, it used to be Zimbabwe years ago and last i check it still was with the change in the denim. The old denim was super smooth, it was good, not amazing. The fabric on our collabs and all RJB jeans now is amazing, its got a slightly abrasive hand when raw which always results in a really nice fade over time.
Hey Kiya, are there any RJB jeans that have a button fly? The zipper is the main thing that has put me off buying a pair once I retire my FHXRJB.

Thanks! I'm really happy with them. I've been rotating my denim lately, but I'm hoping to pretty much only wear these for a year. I'll post evo pics.

HP's website is super confusing. How do you actually order from them? Anyone have sizing advice on Lone Wolf engineers? I'm a 7.5 in Alden truebalance and Red Wings. Any help would be great. Thanks!
