Hey Kiya, Giles said that SE will be getting the 666UHR (21/23oz). Do you know when they will be at SENY so I can check them out in person?

I gotta get some of those raw cord soles on my Road Champs! As soon as I get some money they are coming your way, Brian!

Amen, Zwer! Nice MBBs!

Wow! Those Red Wings are beautiful!

I really like the look of the flattened toe box. I think it would look better on just a single midsole commando. But glad to hear that you got what you wanted, Nerkg! Brian is really great to work with.

Can't wait to see these engineers and to get more details, Brain.

I was thinking about ordering them and they told me that the run a half size large. So size down .5.

I really dig the rivets on the gusset straps.

An unlined type III with side pockets, that is...

Yup, different fabric, the one coming out this week is overdyed.
Wow! I've been waiting a couple years for a Type III with side pockets and now there will be three versions released by Iron Heart in the next couple months (including the left-hand twill trucker). How will I choose!

Is the Modified OVerdyed Type III different than the IH Type III collab? (I think it had a gray weft.)

I don't mind the look either, especially on a leather sole.

In general it seems like the Japanese cobblers like a very thick midsole. I'm not sure why.

I believe these are Red Wings that were resoled and cap toe added by Brass. I read their blog religiously!
Who can guess what this is?

Thanks for the info. So is there a difference if you get a rebuild vs. a resole from Wesco?

I've also heard that if you get your Wescos resoled they go from double stitched to single stitched welt.

Thanks for the info, Thinker! And you are right about a Wesco rebuild, they do replace the vamp as well.

What really caught my eyes is "Goodyear welt construction."
I didn't realize White's offer true Goodyear welted boots before I saw this. I always prefer Goodyear to stitch-down.
Thanks for the info, which would really makes me pull the trigger for one pair of those boots.
Hey Thinker, I believe this might have been discussed at length in another thread but what do you prefer about Goodyear welt over stitch-down?

Don't wear jeans then. Problem solved!

Brian, thanks for posting your great resole jobs, can't wait to see more from you!

make sure you tell raul at willies to stich the bottom of your sole. He does a sloppy job sometimes of just gluing it together.
Will do. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey Slab, I know that Brian the Bootmaker is going to start making Role Club engineers. I think they will be made to order, so that should solve your heel slippage. Seeing his repair work, I think his boots will be great. You might want to contact him about price. I think they will be available soon.
I'd like to see a worn pair of those Phigvels as well.
