Anyone with experience with these chinos want to speak to the flexibility of the material? As a true 35" waist I'm wondering if I should take a stab at the 34 or just admit defeat, cinch up my belt and move along to 36....

Really been enjoying this contest from the sidelines. Max & Obbigood pairs both shaping up quite nicely. I've added the 400R to my list of "things I absolutely don't need but will probably get anyway".

^Would love to see pics if at all possible! Zipang has been on my short list for quite a while now...
Also curious how much stretch you got, if you can recall.
These look like a pair I would need to size up on (tagged 36 measures 34.5" according to B.I.G!!) unless they have massive stretch in em.

Keen on getting more info about the Trophy Linen when the time comes, Linen is the only thing I like about the damn warm part of the year...
Thanks TVShooter for another great update. May your diligence and creativity be an inspiration to future slots on the tour...!
(and glad to see you didn't spray this pair down with ice cream and chocolate syrup! )

Ive recently gotten a great deal on some barely used 1100s, though the seller didn't seem to have a lot of specific info. Any of you experts know which year they did the white paint/stitching? Thanks in advance for any info.
My first pair from Fullcount, kicking myself for putting it off this long. Great fit and fabric.

A lot of factors can contribute to crotch wearing out first like extreme downsizing, lack of wash/soak, use (like riding a bike), or (in the case of Zwer) just your body type.
Short answer is, it's a hight stress point and therefore usually one of the first things to go.

Yeah I was drooling over it earlier and would love to see one with some miles on it.
Sadly, i've got poor leg circulation and can't get away with anything past a simple credit card wallet or else my leg goes straight to sleep every time I sit down.

^Agreed the 5000 fabric looks amazing.
If it makes its way to Selfedge it will probably end up in my closet.

Shameless sale post, trying to hustle a quick sale on my 666 25oz in size 33.
Check my sig. I will add better natural light photos tomorrow during the day.

Looks like a great Sunday. Makes me wish I had something in my Humidor for tonight. To bad the nearest supply is a 15 mi drive...
What is your wife wearing? They look nice...!

Was eyeing those as well, but that 10" inseam killed it for me.
Won a pair of Geishas for the gf, that had a few weeks wear on them. Won them at $56 and the seller just re listed the item, assuming because I won it for so low.
Wow, sorry to hear that. Did you pay for the item and the seller just refunded it or something? eBay policy is so slanted in favor of the buyer rights that you can get the seller in trouble if you are feeling particularly irritated about it.
Funny, have those Geishas on my watch list too - was eyeing them for my wife... but she probably wouldn't even wear them so think I should let it go.

Thanks. Denim looks very nice, and I love the color of the pocket bags.
At your convenience, would you mind throwing some waist and inseam measurements up? Would be nice to know where things started at... (and to calculate how many times I will have to roll the cuff to accommodate my comically small 29" inseam...)

It made sense for TVShooter to start the tour, as the jeans are currently with him, ha ha.
HEY TVSHOOTER WHY NO UPDATES!?
Kidding aside, will there be a dedicated tour thread or will it be documented here?

Snuck in a final Viberg MTO under the wire. Just started by telling Morgan I wanted a Tobacco color and we went from there! Took delivery in January.

Glad to be enrolled.
Having watched TVshooter in action for the Roy tour, he is a good choice for pole position.
I know a lot can happen in 8 months but it looks like my turn might coincide with my trip to Germany in November. Would be fun to arrange a hand-off with b_F if everything happened to line up.

You are trying to order from evisu.jp?
No overseas orders direct!
Yeah, I know that. I was going to use sutucorp. Thanks for looking out though!
They're only jeans, mate. Like all natural fibres they will really benefit from being rested in between days of wear, just the same as a wool suit or leather boots.
You'll be relieved to hear that I have half a dozen pairs in rotation and they are all well rested, often seeing a week or more off between wears.
It was just a bit of hyperbolae anyway, I don't actually agonize over sending my jeans off for alteration. All i meant was, it's exciting to get a new pair and I prefer them to be ready to go into action instead of having to soak em and turn em away for a hem job. Does that not seam reasonable?
I'm not the type to wear a double or triple cuff and since my actual inseam is 29" it means I usually can't wear an unaltered pair.

^True that the leather patch was different on the first run ( I should have made that clear) but the ones in stock now at B.I.G and Pirates are a second run which just has a normal LOT16 leather patch.
However, when I went to double check before clicking "add reply" (so as not to make a fool of myself) I discovered that the second run of Anniversary 710XX does NOT include the denim coin purse w/ Samurai badge I have mentioned above so... guess i'm a fool in one way or another, no way around that

Artisandenim & PDXvegan: My experience with 710XX is that the waist will actually end up 1" bigger than the raw measurement. I am a true 34.5" waist and I comfortable wear a tagged 33 for 710XX. (It started at about 34", shrunk to 33" with the soak, and is back up to about 35" now...)It's all about how you want to wear it but if you can button them up presoak you should have no problem getting them on down the road. I do not tumble dry though, so if you plan to tumble YMMV.
The only difference between the 15th anniv is some gold thread instead of silver on the "side of the back pocket", a 15th anniversary tag stitched into the pocket bag, and there is an extra lined denim coin purse (separate item that comes with the Jeans) with a samurai badge inside it. The material is the same 19oz on both versions. The anniversary pair is nice but if you can't get it just go with a regular production pair. They are basically the same pants.

Ah... so if you are ordering "no wash" then you have to select "without increasing length"...? As in, they will not hem an unsoaked pair...?
I suppose that is the safest route anyway, although I prefer to just hem before a soak because once I get wearing underway its usually agony to part with em even for a few days...
Thanks!

Sorry in advance for what is probably a silly question but I scrolled back about 7-8 pgs and couldn't find an answer.
When ordering from Evisu.jp, the "Inseam (length)" pulldown gives only measurements from 82cm to 60cm... is this an estimate for the post shrink inseam or is this the raw measurement? I assume this is raw measurement but 82cm seems a bit short for a maximum pre-shrink option.

Any chance of a restock of the Stevenson Santa Rosa (767) at some point?
Keen on grabbing a pair in 34.

Thanks for a good month. I really hope your momentum and enthusiasm rubs off on others, or perhaps some competitive spirit kicks in! Off to Summ3rHays next then...?
Don't take your retirement from tours too seriously, i'm sure we haven't seen the last of you....
Don't mean to get too personal but i'm pretty jealous that you appear to be constantly eating fried chicken, giant subs, pulled pork, frozen yogurt,
