Purchased some Double Diamond chino's lately and my denim has hardly got a look in of late apart from when I manage to rub my dirty fingers on them and they end up in the wash.
But very well made with nice soft and thick cotton. The fit isn't quite as slim as my pair of Wallace and Barnes selvedge chinos but very comfy nonetheless.
Really liking RMCs stuff, I popped in to the Covent Garden store and could have spent a lot of money as didn't see much I didn't like, in particular the deer leather down filled gillet, but a bit skint at the mo.

Do love Evisu and really tempted from these ones recently posted from Denimo.
Evisu was my first unknown venture into Japanese selveged denim after watching Louis Theroux wearing them years ago on the BBC.
These are my current pair, no1 special 2000.
But don't get much wear as a bit tight in the waist and baggy everywhere else for my liking. Another victim of the Evisu gamble.
Still loved none the less but avoid the Carnaby St store like the plague they really do not get what Evisu once was and why what they sell now no longer appeals.

you're right, shrink from tag size. but according to previous post posted by Foxy and other OAXX owner, seems like the waist can be easily stretched back.
other OAXX owner pls report back.
They do stretch out but I have also managed to stretch the leather patch slightly out of shape in the process which has never happened with other jeans. If I got another pair I would go one size up. Im a 31 in Full count and Levi, 30 in Boncoura and PBJ but would get a 32 rather than the 31 I purchased.
Dreading giving them their first hotish wash.

Just tried it on and it looks like it's a size too small for me...not soaking it at the moment.
Let me know if anybody is interested...will post pre-soak measurements soon.
Mine just did it up in raw state and then wore them in the bath for the soak to prevent any further shrinkage in the waist. Was a bit painful at first but now fit nice and snug.

A little update on my Boncoura's after a few months wear and one wash unfortunately after an incident with a bowl of ice cream but fading slowly but nicely I think..
Very soft denim which reminds me of Evisu No1 Special but quite a bit heavier denim as proving to be a bit sweaty on the hotter days. Though my current favourite pair.

Mine arrived this morning and only shipped on the 7th after ordering last week and not a penny in duty which was rather nice.
Went for OA 001XX IN 31 but really should paid more attention to the advice re sizing as they are smaller than my 30s from boncoura and gonna a be bit painful in stretching out or I lose my beer belly.. But very nice denim and well made. Will try and get some fit picks up later when back from work.

Few more pics..
Raw and un-soaked and quite like the fit as is. Not sure on the weight but my guess is around 14oz. Impressed with them so far the only slight issue, from a picky denim person, is there is no selvedge on the inside of the coin pocket but there was on the cinch version they had in store.
Went for the 30" waist but they measure 33" in raw and are a 32" inseam which is 2" shorter than my FCs and PBJs.
Love the shade of denim and should make a nice summer jean.
As for oem - you mean woven? - According to the spiel they use vintage looms and even stop if there is not enough moisture in the air, quite a perfectionist apparently.

Nice Jambon. Is that Soho London or SoHo NYC? What's the shop and how much were they? These questions need to be answered!
Cheers. It is in London and the shop is called Universal Works on Berwick St. Cost £250 which I don't think is too bad considering they are natural indigo. My PBJ AI's cost more.

Cheers. I think so, they are definitely narrower in the leg opening plus the knee and slightly shorter front rise.

Great fit the 1109 if you want something slim but not too much.
These are my two FCs - 1108xx on the left and 1109 on the right - both had about a years wear
Prefer the denim and fade on the XX but not been too impressed with quality on both unfortunately. Stitching went quickly on pockets and arc's and they both came with the same defect on the right inside seam stitching - worse on the 1108XX - not split yet but will need re-enforcing.
Overall very happy with them but not worth the price some UK suppliers charge (£299 ) when they are only £160 in Japan.

Good thread. My first pair of PBJs arrived this morning AI-001 Raw 30" but measured 32"
Was a bit worried about too much shrinkage in the waist so wore them in the bath for the first soak.
The natural indigo doesn't stain your bath tub and now drying..
And now dryish and rather tight in the waist but glad i didn't go for the 32.
Very stiff in their current state but gonna try wear them solid for the next week and loosen them up. Lovely denim though, like nothing I have seen before, its rough and dimply.
Great service from Merv at Okayama again
