I thought I'd post a 2 year update on my TCB 60s. They've been demoted to infrequent wear due to some weight gain and a less-than-ideal fit, but they've really come a long way. I've washed these about once a week or 2 if I wear them all week. Honestly, TCB is really one of the best values in the denim game right now. I personally feel like this pair's denim is a close match with Ooe in terms of character, but it's like half of the price. Apologies for the slight color differences between pictures and fuzz, my S8s camera is showing its age as well... The last one is the most accurate.

Are these standard TCB 60s or a slim leg version? or did they shrink much more after washing?

As mine arrived today and they are way baggier looking than yours and a bit disappointed tbh was looking for more of a tapered leg but these absolutely swamp my legs. Baggiest jeans i've managed to buy was hoping they might be similar to the Boncoura or Resolut 60s denim from looking at your fit pics but these are way different.

  2. Nice no fuss pair of jeans and they certainly are at a good price point. Ooe used to sell their jeans direct and they didn’t work out that expensive, sub £200, but now only available from Standard & Strange the price has almost doubled. Good to see brands like TCB not taking the mickey.

Does anyone have experience with a Tompkins knit shirt? I’ve been looking at the loop and weft offerings and was thinking about picking one up.

Yeah I got the black Tompkins knit hoody last year and got the matching sweatpants a few weeks ago.

It’s definitely up there with my RMC loopwheel collection in terms of softness and comfort to wear.

Big fan of Loop&weft their woolen knitwear really is special.

  4. I like my Boncoura been wearing the jeans for a good few years now and have a couple of jackets and chino trousers.

My only gripes would be on both my pairs of Z jeans the zips broke, I like the fit but the zip puts me off purchasing them again.

Have a couple of pairs of 66 as well and the stitching around the crotch has needed to be reinforced as was coming loose. This happened on my most recent pair after only a few weeks wear.

Final gripe is the pricing has been gradually been getting more and more expensive year on year, which I don’t mind if the quality matches.

They make some great material both the denim and chino cloth is superior to others I have tried and their fit is perfect for me but the construction of the clothes could be improved imo.

Have you emailed the London store? They are an  official store and can order direct and ship to Europe

Is the London store an official one or just a franchise?

As I have enquired a number of times about a few items that show out of stock and not once have I ever got a reply from them.

It’s almost like they don’t want my money, business must be too good for them...

I thought now with the EU/Japan free trade agreement we would be able to order it directly from Japan ourselves and cut out the expensive middle man.

  6. I never get good honeycombs on back of my legs for some reason but will try and post some snaps later.

But this jacket David Beckham is wearing in today's daily mail looks just like the Boncoura Mod jacket? IMG_0419.JPGIMG_0418.JPG

We can ship to Europe, too. Was there something in particular of theirs you were after?

Thanks, just after another pair 0A-02 in 32. I've seen them on your site but it would cost me over double what I used to pay direct from Ooe once shipping and no doubt import duty. Ooe used to kindly mark them down for us so there wasn't any duty.

  8. Thanks Jambon, but in Oz, so for me the alpha shadow price is almost 150 Aussie dollars more than the others...!

Ouch just noticed the increase - I got mine from there at start of the year for 220 gbp now 320 gbp.

  9. Anyone know where to get a pair of Boncoura's 41 Chino, in size 33?

Loftman are selling them, but I've no idea how to order from their site - https://eq.loftman.co.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=865

Also here, but again, don't speak Japanese - http://www.seekandfind.jp/onlinestore/brand/boncoura/_41/

Could try these guys but only showing a 32 and 34 in stock but speak english so might be able to order you some in, should be an ok price if your in America with the current dollar/pound rate.

  10. yea it's thanks to the fallout of the stupid brexit vote. Ruined my plans of going Japan in spring and picking up the surveyor boots as well as some other goodness

While the £ has fallen heavily against the $ it has not been as bad against the Yen.

However it has been reported due to the weaker £ there has been an increase in tourists taking advantage in the London shops and retailers have responded..

  11. Looks too tight to me man look at your button hole and waist band

I've got two pairs a 30 and 31 - these are the 31 that went and i wear a belt with these, the 30s are tight post wash but soon give out.

    Where to cop those boxers?

    Just bog standard calvins.

  12. Arrggh   only had them a couple of months. Got an appointment tomorrow with someone who can hopefully fix them. Fingers crossed. If anyone has any other recommendations for repairs in London or UK let me know.
