  1. Not Your Father's I found to be really sweet compared to my preference for root beer, Mission's root beer is another hard root beer I found to be more boozy and medicinal in a way that I enjoyed more than Not Your Fathers.

the people making Not Your Father's is supposedly a subsidiary of the people making Four Loko.

  2. Does cigar city make it to Jacksonville? Fresh jai alai is always a treat!

The best thing for us to do may be a BIF (beer it forward). I send someone beer and they send someone else and so on and it eventually makes it back to me. The thought being you're likely to get good stuff if you do the same for someone else. It works as long as you don't have some shitbird ruin it for everyone. A BIF is also good so people in the same area aren't stuck sending each other beer.

I know SUFU does that organized partner trading thing... I did it a couple times but am not very active on the other boards lately. It's not too much diff than that, just with beer.

Cigar City is more popular here in Jacksonville than some of the local breweries.  Jai Alai is one of the top selling beers at most places that tap it for IPAs

I have quite a few breweries doing other stuff but Cigar City is one of the better things to enjoy here.

  3. I want to go for Koji Ichimaru.  Hands down THE man I want to see, plus he is releasing a book at the convention.

I am trying desperately to see if he has any openings for a one shotter.  The dates are near my birthday and the entire line-up is great.  I want to go to a big convention and actually get to sit in on some presentations.

  4. I hope to finish my back this year. HoriHan will be flying out to Seattle to finish it. :)

I was thinking of flying to the west coast for the Bay Area Convention.

  5. Good recommendation Tombrown, Christian Lanouette and Myra Oh are some people I might recommend as well.  They do divine black work.

I got my first tattoo touched up and a nice little filler Daniel Higgs design.  Will add pictures once they heal.

  6. I think along the same lines as Marw with this type of ordeal.  All the minuses seem to fall in the customers' lap though when doing long period bookings.

Development:  I got my appointment with Horitomo!  I got the run down and the way it goes is in a year I will get a call and they will secure a deposit and begin the drawing process, afterwards I will fly out get destroyed and then go home.

  7. I hate seeing myself post twice in a row but I had an experience that was totally alien to me.  In my town most of the artists are walk-in or maybe want some structure and ask for some warning so they schedule a couple days down the road.  I attempted to call State of Grace Tattoo to start booking with Horitomo, I was told that Horitomo's direct assistant was out until Tuesday and that the last estimate for his work was 2 years.  My mouth hung open, I am not upset or anything about him being so popular just purely stunned that someone could have that many people in line for that long.

Still going to call Tuesday to start the process.  I also am going to attempt to start a booking with Koji Ichimaru since I now suspect he will have an equally long wait time and would prefer to be in line to get a tattoo when he comes to the states next.

  8. ^dude, that sounds awful. There's no shame in going up a size. Good luck to you all the same.  :)

that was the closest size I could get, I have a build that can be likened to a streetlight so to get something flattering I sometimes have to stretch the waist so that things fit right below the waist.
