    Nice pictures.

is the cap part of the collection?

I can't remember, but I believe there were supposed to be 2 hats and one got scraped/pushed back? Or it was just the one cap pictured. Either way hats are in development and should be coming in the next few seasons, as well as veilance footwear (although thats still a few years out, theyre still throwing around ideas now).

  2. demlo shirt looks nice, wonder if it comes in any other colors.

Re: voronoi, I forget when they made the switch to nyco, but i have 2 pair of voronoi ar going for warranty right now (one fw16 [was that peat?], and one fw18). The older ones blew out near the edge of a back pocket from my wallet, unsure if the fabric got too thin and the wallet broke through or if the fabric ripped at the seam, and the fw18 had a huge seam rip down the ass from bike commuting in them 1 day a week since august. The fabric seemed to hold up better than the first iteration (fw13?), but the peat color faded a lot and both pairs picked up other colors in some fade spots around the hips. I'm not sure what warranty will say about them, but I'm not super keen on picking up another pair if I cant bike around in them.

There's nothing to justify. You don't know a single thing about the factory the products are being made in.

Exactly, I think there could be legitimate concerns re: China's track record with the garment industry, but considering what Errolson tweets about, he's probably done his homework on the factory he's partnered with. Unless we learn to the contrary, give him the benefit of the doubt, and enjoy the fact that prices will go down a bit between fw18 and ss19/fw19.

please someone correct me if i'm wrong but there hasn't been a patrol released during the spring/summer collection. @damagedroid for variation maybe go for the monitor? patrol and field are somewhat similar. monitor is constructed with gore-tex® pro and with the extra length would offer better protection in the rain.

You're correct and I mixed up patrol and monitor.

Update: They also changed the logo font for ss19

So I’m gonna get Patrol Down Coat in black / XS and would like to sell the down mid layer (brand new of course); anyone interested?

Why wouldn't you just wait until ss19 comes out, there are normally unlined patrols then for much cheaper than the down

Guys from Stotz said that you could use the Nikwax spray for cottons.

For CH pants, it seems that we have not talked about it before.

Would only the spray work, not wash in dwr?

  7. I've only ever owned almost every voronoi AR iteration but i've always gone size 32, which might not be that helpful of info since theyre not the same pant (pattern wise). I do know if you call up veilance customer service (there is only one true veilance customer service rep iirc, i'm blanking on their name) they can pull up patterns for you and give you any measurement differences.

Any thoughts on what to expect for FW 2018?

    Thanks

They release pretty much the same kinds of shit every winter, shells, cargo pants, etc, but if youre interested in what kind of things to expect design wise, I dont think anyone outside of the acr team really knows/havent seen any leaks. I know nike can be a pain in the ass for a lot of the retailers they work with since they will often get notice of new product around the same time nike makes the official announcement, which can only be a week or two away in some instances, there isnt always a roadmap like with other brands.

It depend how much your layer and how active you are, but it's a very, very warm coat. Personally, I think it would be a bit overkill for DC weather and I would suggest you get the regular Monitor and perhaps a down vest / coat to wear under when it's really cold as I don't think you would need the down every day.

I guess I generally don't layer that much except on especially cold days i might wear a thicker flannel and just wear a coat on top of that. I'm replacing a mainline fission ar i've beat up since 2009 (and has served me well), and after digging around im pretty confident that the warmth will be much more comparable for the field IS. Should go without saying, but go TTS/stick with your regular veilance top size on the field is?

  10. Whats the temperature range of the monitor down and the field is? I'm based in DC and looking for a new winter jacket, and I'm trying to figure out which would be the better option/if the monitor would be total overkill. I do a fair amount of walking to and from public transit and that wouldn't change in the winter, but if the monitor is really only usable in sub 20ºF temps it might not be the move.

kinda happy for my wallet there's nothing in this season i'm excited about. looking forward to ss19.

Little birdie told me that a component overshirt is coming. Interested to see what will be different about it.

Some mad hyperbole in the replies but rip

Errolson said one more season (so I guess earlier reports of fw17 being its last season were just a year too soon), but overall it is a bummer. The only consolation i would take from it is if nike releases the acg cargos in their latest revised form in different colors, im less into the direction the shells took

  13. Launch was 5/18 last year and I don't think info was available that far ahead of week of release, so if there is anything coming we'll find out next week or the week after. Even if errolson isnt heading up the collection, JFS is still at nike and I doubt they'd end the line after having pretty good success the past few years.

  14. I had one pair of regular voronois and i found them much more restrictive in the seat than voronoi AR/liminal/apparat and I sent them back. At the time I spoke with a veilance rep who gave very detailed measurements as to the differences between the AR and non-AR and it didn't sound that different (maybe .5 inch of rise and some other slight changes) but it made all the difference in fit.

As a city dweller who walks around a lot, I have had no problems with the movement/fit of veilance pants, but I think thats because I use them in the environments theyre designed for and have never really considered using them outside of that.

  15. I too have the same ankle issue with the all white lf1s, but I dont remember having that issue with my old ones. The good news is that I think i've broken them in enough (or am just immune) so i dont have to wear thick socks with them anymore. It also might just be different pair to pair, my right ankle has been fine and left got chewed up.

  16. I think it's also worth mentioning that acronym is more accepted in high fashion circles now, and considered in the same circles of cult luxury brands by those people (ie, a lot of long-time acr heads dress in head to toe acr the same way rick or yohji fans do). If you're into that tier of fashion, paying 2k+ usd for a trench coat/coat of similar cut to j53 isn't that much of a stretch. It sucks that it's pricing out so many longtime fans, but I can't say I'm too surprised at the direction the prices have taken, it just seems to have happened pretty quickly with every season/drop being noticeably more expensive than the last.

  17. My Voronoi AR from fw13 blew out spectacularly on the inner thighs after ~3 years and veilance said they were too worn to qualify for warranty (even though I vaguely remember some of you guys had issues with durability of the fabric on that version, and veilance knew about it), but I thats the only pair that i've ever had an issue with.

I walk ~5 miles a day and rotate between veilance pants during the workweek, and there are minimal signs of wear on stuff that i've had for years. All the veilance pants I have experience with are cut for ease of motion since most of them don't have stretch, and I can't imagine how some of you guys put so much stress on the pants. Maybe everyone who has had an issue has found this thread and posted about it?

There isn’t really a discount tho, is it? Correct me if I’m wrong here but the thought is for your guys to pay your own customs and the total price ending up the same as when you buy from American retailers, isn’t it? In the end you might be able to save some money by complaining with the customs service, eventually getting a partial refund, but with all that hassle and the longer shipping shipping times (+ higher shipping fees compared to domestic orders I assume?) I still don’t get why you’re doing it. :/

In short, no it really isn't much of a discount.

I think it came out to like 1440 including shipping and customs after getting the adjustment for a j28 from the main site, which was a little cheaper than most retailers (but not bdga which generally has the best prices on ACR), as places like notre were charging ~1500 and union was ~1700. On less expensive things like shoes it's more expensive to buy from ACR than from a US retailer.

Edit: I personally ordered a j28 from the main site because I figured it would have more stock than a retailer and would give me a better chance of getting it, which is the best reason I can think of for ordering from the main site over a retailer.

thanks for the review. Make me have high hope for the SS18 line up! I am in between 31 and 32 just like you, this new system is definitely good new. So did you go for a 32?

Yea, I got a 32. Inseam length is like the apparat, they were hitting just above my ankle.
