  1. Let me know where, if you don't mind. I like them, just not for $425 + tax.

Well actually the one place that comes to mind is Dover Street Market and they were 50% off (and as far as I could tell, there were still quite a few boxes of them left)

It's a bit unfortunate that there's no online store unless of, course, you're located in London.  Then never mind.

I remember pretty clearly seeing them marked down a bit on an online store but it's slipping my mind right now.

  2. you know, I thought about how it could get annoying if we just kept posting emoticons but then I remembered the thread title

  3. yo what da fuck is there really no thread for shorts?

Anyways, can anybody recommend me a nice gray slouchy/drop-crotch short ending preferably right around the knee area?  I'm currently rocking some grey pod shorts that are probably fakes and because of that premonition I want to pick up something similar and with a bit more interesting detailing.  I really do like these:

Dig a lot of DD's other offerings too but they're all black, which I'm not really looking for right now.

  4. ^

I feel like the tee should be a bit longer and/or have a curved hem

having 3 layers all end at the same place is a bit awkward for me and makes the fit seem a little bit too top-heavy w/ the backpack.

otherwise, I do like the idea and everything else about the execution.

  5. The whole collection is hard to view as a whole. There is an official video but it doesn't show much. Same goes for the "teaser" images floating around. I've just been waiting for stores to upload their buys.

alright, cool.  I was just afraid that I was missing some big update about it.  Hopefully everything will be revealed soon!  I'm super interested in what comes out of this new direction for BBS.

  6. in my opinion it's not as bad as his, it's a tshirt some black jeans and converse. nothing special at all

Why even post then?  It's such a lukewarm outfit and you don't do anything particularly special with silhouette/texture to warrant it being in this thread.

  7. really can't get behind the square-toed slip ons tho. dad shoe/high school uniform shoe analog imho

but at the same time really cool that it'd be a reinterpretation of that kind of thing lolol

Yeah I feel the same way.  I'm thinking the design decision behind it was the strong lines as is shown in the sole unit, which I think is actually very nice in its blunt angularity.

Before I say anything, I'd like to preface by saying I'd never really invested much time learning about Raf beyond what I've seen on the internet and photos of his last men's collection, so any obvious bits of info that could be drawn from his style I wouldn't be aware of.  This would usually stop me from posting but I just have so many mixed feelings about this collection.

Overall the collection was a bit overwhelming to me.  It seemed like he wanted to create a conglomerate of...just about everything.  Very minimal pieces sitting aside aggressively arranged prints/colorblocking.  Masculine suiting and feminine dress/one-piece silhouettes (which I couldn't really get on board with besides:

It seemed like the only thing this collection lacked was that feeling of being "natural," which was clearly a conscious decision as well.  Because my own ideas about fashion are rooted more in that natural feeling I find myself growing to love this collection in such a strange way.  For sure, it is definitely more exciting and interesting than his last collection.

Plus, the footwear was crazy...getting really awesome Air Max vibes from the sole units.  The ones with the tab covering the laces and the boots look ridiculous...ly amazing.

  8. completely agree.

and @nebulae , the soloist tee looks great. what fabric is it?

unfortunately I'm not the greatest with fabrics but it looks and feels like a soft corduroy that's been fused on the inside.  Top and bottom panels seem to be the same, the top just has that pattern on it.

The grey panels are a waffle knit fabric.  Really cool stuff.
