  1. Yes i remember that post. I'm sure he (or any one else with both) could shed some more light on the feel of the denim side by side. But from what I can tell the XX denim seems to be more irregular than the the tighter weaved Momo. Of course the Vintage label denim does come to life after a long soak and I'm sure the Full Count does also. Would be interested in another side by side macro of the denim :D

  2. Yes you are right! I forgot to add the .5 shame*! Momotaro makes a 15.7oz denim found on their vintage label and copper label stuff which I know is not the same, but similar in weight. I've handled a pair of the 701s (VL) in person and loved them, the weave is super tight which is cool, but the denim on the FC looks more of what I was looking for. (slubby-ish)

Still undecided, but I am currently bidding on a Type I FC jacket and a WH type II. I plan to win at least one, if I win both these 1109XXs will have to wait a while.

p.s.Thanks again for the sizing advice on my S5000VX b_F, best fitting jeans I own at the moment. Love the rise and TB

  3. Came to this thread to discuss fullcount's 1109XX....debating between these and a pair WhxBG 660. both have very similar measurements save the rise.

I'm assuming the 09XX denim on the FC is 15.5oz pre soak, which would bring it to 16oz post?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, and please ignore if that is the case.

    TIA

  4. Just bid on a Warehouse Type II jacket 2002XX with the 507XX denim I think. Has the leather patch with the cow on it.

Looks beautiful hoping Sutocorp can snag it for me soon.

  5. thats one of my choice also.. you got yours?

    how is it?

No, I have not gotten mine yet. Still debating between the Big Slub and the Tate + Yoko 20oz Kamikaze Attack Ltd. May end up with the KA since I have no slim straights in my closet. The only reason I would not get the Big Slubs is due to the lack of copper rivets and hidden rivets, prefer the rise of the WG too, but a 9.25 is still comfortable on me.

Over all I prefer the detail on the KA and if I need to tapper them .2 or whatever that's fine by me.

  6. Don't know about Loopewheelers, but I own both FH and RMC stuff and the quality and feel are amazing. Also own some SG loopwheeled stuff but only their sweats can comment on their T's but I would assume they are on par with FH or McCoy, I plan on grabbing two T's and a IH hoodie next time I'm in SF

Fit pic of one of my newest, now favorite FH Ts

  7. Does anyone have an experience of wearing samurais uncuffed with sneakers and cuffed with dress boots? How being sometimes cuffed and sometimes not affects your fades?

    What?

Nice fit although the waist looks constricting

  8. Is it just me or are JB0701s hard to fade?

Had mine for a year now (not much wear I must admit) and there's hardly anything noticeable even though my phone ate its way through an inner pocket.

JB denim in my experience is tough to fade I wore mine every single day for 6.5 months and the contrast on them is not huge. But then again I don't think that is what the company is about and I kind of dig the slow progression of the denim. Love the character it gains as it wears in from an almost smooth hand to a textured slubby look. I will post some recent pictures soon.

  9. yeah? from measurements that I saw, it was like an 11' rise for a w30. Im looking for a w29 or 30 but an 11' rise is pushing it. My Flatheads are 11' and i wish it was just a little more.

Also, what are BOM01? I saw a few users mention their momos as that, and the cut/denim looks great.

Mistral, B) I got this one....

The BOMO1 is Momotaro's Skinny straight fit on their signature vintage label denim and an exclusive collaboration with Blue Owl Workshop. It is the brain child of Jay. Detail include a low rise tight top block, skinny through the thighs and a taper to the hem, it is Momo's "skinniest" cut and is unsaf.

If you want a higher rise I would avoid these. Honestly you should be looking at a more traditional slim tapered cut if anything (regular to mid rise roomy thigh taper from knee down) judging by what you have written in the past anyway.

  10. ^IMO Strike Gold has a softer hand, i can't say which has a tighter weave though

If I was you I would honestly just go with whatever fits better

(btw, Im surprised you've been neglecting your mccoy sweat for your SG, I've been doing the opposite....)

I love the pockets and the hood on my McCoy, the fabric is soft, darkish and thick (like I like my women) but the Strike Gold sweat fits way better on me, that and I find it to be more windproof; I bike and walk 3 miles (6 total) to and from school every day early in the morning and hate having to fill my pack with all the layers I take off durring the day. The McCoy runs a little longer too which I like some days>the SG runs supper short even for me at 5.3" with a short torso, but it ends right on the money. ( have size small in the SG black and a M in the McCoy in grey, have a 37.75" chest 16.6" shoulders wear a 40 in flat head T and 38 in button ups for reference. Wear a Sm in the new Buzz with T under although I could size up.)

Also I just soaked my SG with a little soup and light agitation and hung it to dry in my living room. I was afraid it would shrink too much. To my surprise, the fabric def. got tighter, but I was stoked to see that the length was still relatively stock length.

But I digress, the IH looks like its a roomier fit, which is tempting since I usually only wear my SG with a FH tee or the like maybe a light chamb. with a jacket over it. Also I don't own anything by Ih... which needs to be remedied I think, sooner than later.
