Visvim FBT Elk, white, US10. A real gem, very hard to get these.. Worn 3-5 times, perfect condition despite the fact that one of the inner leather laces got dirty along with a small part of the flap on the inner side. I don't know how it happened and even when it happened.. anyway it should be fairly easy to clean it or simply let it be. The leather of the shoe is in perfect condition, so is the sole.

    $400 + fees

  2. Pizi-folk closeup:

    pizi_folk.jpg

    Definitely re-soleable : )

-edit- Ah, you've solved it yourself.. anyway, the photo will remain if someone else has this problem at some point.

  3. Nah I don't give that much of a fuck either, I just don't see Visvim stuff build to last. Although I wouldn't mind all these beautiful colors being a bit more permanent.

Btw master, do they need a receipt from Visvim store to give you the sole or you just name the model and size and they will ship the soles no questions asked? Did you do it/ do you know anybody who did it?

  4. oh and remember about economy and the world we currently live in, everything becomes obsolete or wears out very quickly. Cars designed to last about 8-9 years and everything falls apart, mobile phones becoming obsolete/irrelevant/"not good enough" each year, clothes.. they want us to buy more and more stuff, why would a clothing brand want to create stuff that lasts 20 years? It's not a good move business-wise and I'm sure Hiroki is aware of that. His PR and image are another story of course.

  5. Master- the guys who own companies say many things :)

But seriously, if these items were built to last, they wouldn't be selling shoes with crepe soles ot at least they would make sure that their sole swap procedures work efficiently and fast (as things are now, if you order a sole swap you will wait a few months and pay a small fortune- you can just try to grab another pair of the same shoes; it's a broken system, it simply doesn't work), they would care more about fading/bleeding of their garments when washed and alter the dyeing proccess to make the colors a bit more permanent- I do understand the concept that their stuff is more about aging nicely than preventing the aging altogether, however it's not neccassarily nice if a certain garment after 20-30 washes is totally faded.

Not to mention weak build quality of Visvim denim, lamina backpacks, etc..

I love Visvim and it's my go-to brand for pretty much anything nowadays, but I definitely don't expect these items to last for many years. You just need to get enough of their stuff to NOT wear out particular pieces

  6. As you can see at the photos, the tongue is attached (by means of leather-like tape thing) to a piece of leather that goes between the shoelaces and the tongue, so basically there are two layers of thick leather between your feet and shoelaces. Hope this helps. (a sidenote: Moncler V hiking boots have more traditional construction with two 'flaps, that cover the tongue and go between the shoelaces and the tongue, so there are 3 layers):

-edit- ps. I have a pair of brand new FW11 Serra lt Blue for sale, size US9.5, in a very good price.

  7. Lamina backpacks are of shitty quality, so are the social sculpture jeans (at least what is being released nowadays). Lamina backpack shoulder straps rip with time, jeans fade too easily and rip as well, not to mention the seams that rip everywhere (there are threads only for decoration and regular threads that "build" the jeans, the decoration seams rip very easily). Also there are a lot of bleeding issues when you wash V stuff (even if you handwash with mild detergent in cold water.

The fact is that V stuff is NOT build to last, these things age nicely despite the issues mentioned above. The washes are beautiful, so are the color dyes, but the problem is that the nicer the colors, the less permanent they are.

  8. Up for grabs is a pair of Moncler V Hiking boots, size US10/ EU43. The fit is generous- although they are a bit too big for me, I can easily wear them with a thick sock and they fit good. It all boils down to how tight you tie these. I usually wear US9.5/US10 in Visvim- that's for reference. If you are a true US10 or US10.5 - these will fit perfectly, If you are US11, you can remove the padded insole and they will fit good too. Bought them brand new, payed a small fortune.. worn LITERALLY twice.

Moncler V red wool jacket. Size M, but the fit is generous- I usually wear size 3 in Visvim and Moncler size 3, this fits me snug but I could still wear it with a shirt underneath. Selling because I got myself a size L which will enable me to wear a sweater underneath with comfort :)

  9. Naah, all this Visvim stuff looks great when it is not too long / baggy, I'd wear size 2 myself (being 6 ft tall) but I just can't squeeze into this stuff, chest, shoulders, etc..

As for the fit pics- it's perfect. This jacket is really awesome

  10. One more question about Visvim sizing..Do the 03 cut and 04 cut in non-washed denim fit exactly the same as in damaged denim or is the fit a bit more lose in NW? Judging by the photos, NW jeans seem to have much wider legs. Appreciate your help.

  11. What I wrote is based on FW12 olive Kilgore I had (already gone as I was hoping to grab one of these green 13SS Kilgore jackets) vs the measurements given at yahoo auctions when I was hunting down the Kilgore 2-3 months back. If you are size 3 in Visvim shirts, I'd grab a Kilgore size 3 or 4 depending on how much layers you want to go with.

And yes, it's pretty tough to get a size 3 or 4 now

As for samplekickz- yes, that's a reliable source and they've been around for a long time. Do your own research but I've never heard of anyone getting a fake item from them (humanbehaviour is ok as well as far as I know)

  12. Kilgores depend on the season. For instance S/S linen ones are going to be tighter/smaller than AW ones. Hell, I think the 'regular' 2013 S/S Kilgores (olive, green, etc) were smaller than 2012 A/W  ones.. but ask someone for confirmation. If you are in the market for a Autumn/Winter Kilgore, go with the same size as your shirts. If you want a S/S Linen one, I'd consider going one size up.

  13. Thanks master, I have a lot on my plate as things are now so more power would be of much help  ;)

master: Picaro Virgils are made of german elk suede, so I guess same goes for Elmendorf Picaro? Someone mentioned german DEER skin earlier, it should be german ELK skin as you pointed out?
