  1. I'm not sure what you mean.. he's not wearing a Patton in the video, nor is it shown anywhere throughout the video if I'm correct.

Speaking of which... Nigel Cabourn's coastal command shearling jacket is so much better.. I was choosing between the two, went with NC Coastal Command and I've never regretted it.

  2. I live in a world where japanese grannies, after the crops, somewhere in a remote village near the mountains, weave the linen of my Noragi and hand-dye it in a wooden bucket. I refuse to believe otherwise.

if you've been to the factories, even the higher end ones, its not a lone man in a room stitching these shoes with a hand carved box full of tools and threads. Its done on an assembly line, in a factory environment, where other shoes are being made for other brands, and each component being added at a station (no matter the quality). I understand if he wants to pull a line worker off and have him do a demo with some nice samples in a quiet environment, but the image being portrayed here is misleading...

  4. I didn't like the length of the lhamo, it was definitely too long for my liking, it went down to almost covering all my rear, it just didn't look good. As for the sleeves- yep, I could've just rolled them but now I can wear them unrolled / unrolled with unbuttoned cuffs or simply roll them. Many more options!

  5. off-topic a bit.. but that's probably the most active Visvim thread so I'm posting it here.

I got a FW12 lt indigo Lhamo shirt, I really wanted to keep it but the fit was wrong- for my liking about 2-3 inches too long, the sleeves were too long by at least 3 inches. I'm 6 ft tall and wear size 3 and that's the size I got of the Lhamo. I couldn't size down because my shoulders / arms wouldn't handle anything tighter, not to mention I want to be able to pull off some layering with this lhamo.

Sooo I went to my trusted taylor and got the sleeves shortened and the total length adjusted. What do you think? Too bad I don't have 'before' photos, just 'after' ones, so just say if you feel it's too short / is it ok. (don't mind the other stuff I'm wearing with it, just trying on the Lhamo at my taylor's place):

  6. I'd say an exception is 101 Damaged-8 jacket- I just bought a size 2 from sufu member and it fits like SS13 101 jacket size 3. Maybe a taaad bit smaller in shoulders.. I find the SS13 101 damaged jacket to be a bit tight/small for a size 3.

  7. I went for brown, I was torn whether I should get brown or burgundy. I bought brown mostly because of lazytuba's photos of them at flickr and because of the fact that I pretty much always end up buying V shoes in burgundy.. :)

But yeah- the plan is to get another pair in burgundy, they are that cool.

  8. Received my Cochise boots today- damn, I can't believe my eyes how beautiful they are... super-happy with the purchase! If anyone considered buying them and hasn't pulled the trigger yet- do it.
