I was at T+Y this morning and tried on that FHxRJB collab. Good rise on them.

Um. If I throw in some sponsorship money, can my pair go first? Not sure I want to be at the end, after a few hours of drinks.

So...going to Montreal in a couple of weeks and if things pan out I will finally get to visit T&Y in person, thanks to the new Sunday hours.

Belt and braces? Did that fella have a bad experience as a child?

Gross.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Alex. Best of luck in the future!

I have the second - the WG. Wasn't the first a Skinny Guy? I like them. Cut big for a WG, especially the waist. I probably could have sized down, but the front rise scared me, so I didn't. Not wearing them much right now because it's winter and I'm living in my Iron Hearts.

I haven't sized down on either of my WG collabs, Momos & T&YxFH, and I find the rise just acceptable. Better with the Momos. Another inch higher and they would be perfect. I'm a bigger guy and as long as I'm not feeling extra hefty, I can wear without feeling self conscious.

Are you guys up for doing repairs in general? I've got a small hole in a pair of Iron Hearts that could use mending - thought I would proxy to SENY, but if I can get it sorted in Canada, all the better.

Did you check with Kaitlin at Dutil? The seamstress who does the chain stitching might be able to sort you out.

Pfft. Take it from a fat guy - if you got them on once, you'll get them on again. You've got 6 weeks - dedicate yourself and you'll be fine. Then, once you have them on and start wearing them for 2 years you will have the motivation to keep your weight down.

Awesome. No need to post pics, though I appreciate the offer - I don't trust a computer monitor for colour. Figured that the guys on this thread know their boots and someone would have experience with both.

Has anyone seen White's Red Dog Smooth in person? I love the Red Wing colour Oro Russet and want a close approximation for my White's. Red Dog was Kyle Baker's opinion, but wouldn't mind getting a second (and more!)

I have a couple pairs of Weird Guys, including the N&FxMomtaro collabs and they're fine. I sure couldn't wear these, though.

No pink inseam stitch and a front rise so low you'll have to shave to wear them?

I hope they're now in the wash!

Yeah, Daytons! I've got a couple pairs, but they're both over 10 years old. Maybe closer to 20 than 10...
Nice to see the brand represented.

@albertabeef - Aren't you going to wear Samurais?

Feet tracings off to Baker's today. Feels like I'm not going to make the start date, but I will do my best.

okay since nobody can tell me where i can get raw petit new standards could anybody tell me if there is any way that i can get a pair of the original cure in canada?
Canada is a big place. I'm sure you've already used Google to find Dutil and Nomad, right?

@AndyK - I got lucky in that my pair was slightly too big, so I found them pretty comfortable after the first few wears: no problems with stairs or anything. And when I first started wearing I was up at the cottage so spending a lot of time in them and break in was reasonably quick.
I think Seul's advice is spot on. They've transformed now that they've been washed and feel less like armour and more like my favourite pair of jeans.

I'm trying to get some spousal enthusiasm - not going as well as I had hoped.

Now the big decision: these or your 634s for the HWDC?
