  1. I grabbed a pair but it would appear I might of needed to have sized up as END show them measuring small on the waist.
There was one (1) very positive review on the Levi's UK website stating they were a big improvement over last years Made in Bulgaria; however I'm assuming the denim is still sourced from the same mill?
Any earlier reviews in this forum? I guess not!

Everyone thinks they’re too valuable to wear as they believe they can resell them for at least 10x retail price. The limited edition left hand twill pairs befell a similar fate. Who is prepared to pay that much simply because they’re ‘limited edition’?!

Damit Friedman, I'm going to start wearing mine :D - you do know they're a pain in the **** to button-up unless you're left-handed?

  3. Did Levi's make all the 1971's with a 32" leg? The pair above and the pair illustrated on the Levi's website are both 32 length which would make them a pass for the majority of peeps who would want to wear them.

I can't quite tell from the translated description, but is there a new 1971 being added to the lineup...? Or is it just limited to the five crazily-priced special jeans with the gold flair?

Is this a Japan only release? It says it's made from Cone denim.

indigo lovers came in the mail today- fit like a dream after a hot soak.. really stoked. didn’t think i’d like the straight fit, but it’s just right. details are fantastic, as always.

how much does the indigo pocket bags bleed onto your hands, legs and wallet?

I've had my eye on a 20s Sunset shirt since last summer. half price at £70. made in turkey. not sure where it was made before (if anything other). beautiful quality though.

    60s shirt. made in portugal.

The colour and quality of the Sunset Chambray is very nice but I've always found the sleeves to short. An earlier version of the shirt was made in USA.

  7. If you're considering ordering either 1890s or 1976 be warned they come up short in the length - a 34 is 33 and a 36 is 35.

Denim is meh , reminds of when Levi's did 10th anniversary reissue of the Levi's Red 1st Comfort jean and the denim was a shadow of the original.

I’m afraid it’s Kaihara cloth and made in Turkey.

when I ordered my Triple Pleat I checked the product code number on Levi's UK and it stated

    Style # 264080000

This is the correct code for the Cone version - they are also using the original Cone denim version product shots, however what I've received is made in Turkey. Went and checked the code and it appears to have been updated to 264080010 - that or I'm going mad! Also ordered the 1890's on the off-chance they were still old stock - nope - made in Bulgaria.

Overall quality on these garments is poor - buttons are already falling off the jacket and I haven't even tried it on.

    RIP LVC.

I forgot to measure them.. but the cone ones lost their cuffs entirely, these have 2 inches of cuff. Both were a 34 leg.

Thanks. Note sure how tall you are but from that info I'm guessing the Cone lost 4" and the new denim lost 2".

That earleir pic had the wrong pockets, with diamonds on the bottom of the arcuates, wrong shape for both pocket and arcuate . Like a Thai fake!

Paul, I don't believe the actual jeans you will receive will look like that earlier pic. If you go onto the website someone who purchased the 1937s has posted a picture of the jeans they received and they don't have that problem with the arcuates. I might be reading this wrong but it appears Jimmy returned his 1937s - just wondering why?

    New denim mate.

Of my mass order I placed I kept the 1976 and 1966.

1976 in a tagged 34 length started at 33 inches and lost about 3 inches after a good hot soak and a 40 degree machine wash.

what specifically sucked on the new 1936?

I've ordered the 1976 in the new denim today in both a 34 and 36 leg - if I like the denim I will probably keep the 36 based on your shrinkage.

  12. Just received up a Full Count collaboration 1940's style Jacket in 13 oz Selvedge Denim - is this Full Count's standard denim?

I've now noticed the description for the product reads "Sanforized denim, will reduce shrinkage and twisting after washing" - wasn't aware Full Count made sanforized denim. Any ideas how it might shrink? The care label states 5% which doesn't make sense if it's sanforized. Perplexed.

got my jeans back from the alterations place in town. much better.

These bulgarian ones are very blue compared to the Cone ones. I remember those ones bled in the bath much more.  they were much stiffer too, like cardboard.

these have that rigid feel, but more like my sanforized Lee 101z's.

How many inches did the your 1976s shrink in the length?

@Spiraltoy Yeah those pictures are nonsense compared to the actual jeans.

All LVC is 50% off now on the Levis website.

Jimmy, are these in the new denim or Cone?

For all those wondering how the 1937s look in the new denim END have a bunch of product shots:

    https://www.endclothing.com/gb/levi-s-vintage-clothing-1937-501-jean-37501-0015.html

levi.com pretty much sold out in main sizes in the 1937 now.

Didn't they? The denim on my TPB looks exactly like the denim on my 1880s...and it fades very quickly, like natural indigo dye does.

No, they def. didn't produce the TPB in natural indigo.

  16. Correct.

    Back story: https://www.levistrauss.com/2017/09/22/eureka-levis-vintage-clothing-fall-collection-goes-old-west/

“We took the original 1880s xx waist overall to North Carolina where the Cone Mills team studied the yarn count and slub patterns to reproduce the original cloth. The yarns are dyed using natural indigo grown by Stony Creek Colors of Nashville, Tennessee, and the fabric is loom state and has zero treatment after it comes from the loom,” Paul said. The ‘run of the mill’ terms means the fabric is not graded and inspected as thoroughly as today and holds some imperfections that represent the original denim and how it was produced 140 years ago.

  17. LVC 1880s Waist Overalls Natural Indigo Dye - limited to 300 (hand numbered) pairs. These are size 36/34 and have been worn and (cold) washed over 2 years. They lost 4" in the leg over that time but the waist remains the same. Loved the colour and fit on these so I picked up a second pair on Sale - in hindsight, with the demise of Cone I should of grabbed a third.

So what’s the verdict on the new MIJ/EU lvc?

Has anyone had and washed theirs enough for a real comparison? Sale season’s a coming so I might snag up a pair....if they’re not awful that is?

had the same question, either no ones taken the dive or no ones letting on!!

  19. Sorry if this has been discussed before but does anyone wish to comment how the new denim is who actually owns a pair?

I did go and take a quick look a few months ago at Newburgh St. and was not convinced but maybe it's not so bad once worn and washed a couple of times?
