  1. The climate does a lot indeed. I got the same amount of wear on my samurais when I went to Indonesia for a month compared to wearing them at home for like 6 months or something. So we don't stand a chance when those guys jump in on our sufu contests haha

Sage have some really great jeans as far as I've seen and handled, and as most Indonesian brands they're very good quality for the price you're paying

  2. I like my 70s Converse; there are plenty of nice Converse-a-likes, though none look as good as the original IMO.

If you're after comfort, Vans is a better choice. :)

I agree with the first part, but my 70's are more comfortable than all the vans I owned.

I owned a lot of sneakers and the 70's chucks are one of the most comfortable ones I have. Bought them for €30 so it was a no brainer.

For some reason I don't like the other shoes like john lofgren and pf flyers, something looks off to me

  3. The SC fabric looks really nice, but if you're still not sure about the decision I can recommend oldblue as well

The 21/23 oz held out the 2 years pretty well while hwdc2 and the 25oz I'm wearing right now are still going strong with no repairs after 7 months of wear and are starting to develop a lot of character.

They also teamed up with Indonesian leather making brand voyej to start a brand together called Blue Muscle Union, they use pretty heavy denim with slub and your type of fits as well.

  4. New to posting, and not sure if you guys are interested in these, but here are a couple pics of my Old Blue Co. x Reddit 19oz 8.25"

Looks like a decent fit. How do you like them?
  5. I think Red Cloud makes striped ones as well?

You're right, I missed them while checking.

Anyone has any experience with those? Or other good options?

I might check with oldblue as well if they might release something soon

  6. I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread, but still related to denim shirts so this is my best bet.

Any recommendations on (affordable) wabash shirts? I know red cloud has one in stock but I prefer the striped ones over the dotted version of red cloud
