I bought these last summer, and wore them one evening to a friends house. Since it was summer, and generally too hot / humid to wear jeans, they were not worn again, and shortly after that, I had purchased my NF Momo/BJ collabs from barneys, and those became my denim rotation, which I have been wearing exclusively the past two semesters.

I went to try them on yesterday, as I figured I should start to wear them and break them in, but they are still super stiff since they are brand new, and my other collabs (between splitting time between the two of them) don't really have any fades yet. So instead of throwing a THIRD pair of new jeans into the mix, ultimately taking more time away from my current rotation, I figured they would be of better use to someone else.

These are just awesome. I got these and loved the hell out of them, but never realized that black selvege is SULPHUR dyed. Normally, that is not a big deal, but I am allergic to sulpher, so I can't wear these for more than a few mins without getting itchy. I tried hot soaks to get the sulphur smell out - which I did - but they still won't work for me.

These jeans are just awesome though. I love the black. They selvege is gorgeous, and the fit is amazing. Black pocketbags and 4 buttons are awesome, even the black leather patch is sweet.

These are great to just beat up on, since it's hard to fade black denim. So these would be perfect for skateboarding, biking, working outside, or any thing you want to do that you would want to wear a pair of awesome jeans for, but might not want to totally destroy a good pair of denim doing.

Jay - have you tried the N&FxMomo WG? Are you suggesting doing pretty much the same cut? Would be great if you did, but just a bit smaller than the N&Fs.

buying tts doesn't change the vanity sizing . . . a tagged 28 will still have a 30" waist, but you should talk to jay at blueowl to make sure the pair that you order actually has those measurements.

since these jeans are made by hand, there is size variation between all of them - hence some pairs running big/small in the same size. so jay might have a 28 that actually measures to a 29/29.5/30/30.5, so if you email him with your EXACT size, he can help find a pair to best match it.

because of the raw denim and the nature of these jeans, they are vanity sized (1 inch for skinnyguys, 2 inches for weirdguys), and then stretch as they break in on top of that. so a pair of weirdguys that stretch 1" after they are broken in will actually measure 3" larger in the waist from whatever the tagged size is.

does that mean if i buy them in 28's they will fit like 30's?

yes. for best results, if you are looking for a pair with specific measurements, talk to jay at blueowl to have him find you a pair with those exact, or as close as possible to those measurements.

Hey guys. I was a little selfish with our first 3 collabs as I prefer a slimmer fit....but I am listening and if you want a different fit I can make something happen. I am working on collab 4-6 now and I can easily make a different fit and fabric. E-mail me suggestions and I can maybe make something for fall.

do you happen to have a list of sizes that you can show people, for pre-soak in the unsanforized? I don't think they can be seen anywhere else, since the JBxMomo collabs in that fit are sanforized . . .

those are going to get some great fades from an extremely active lifestyle!

Are you referring to the skinny guy or weird guys? I've got the weird guys and mine fit big and at probably 5 weeks wear are definitely showing some signs of wear.

i have the sg's sized down 1, since they don't make a 35w which measures to a 36 (my ideal size). i have the 34w, which measure to a 35.

i usually wear the top button undone for comfort, even though i can get it done, but im going to start buttoning it, in the hopes that i can get the waist to stretch another inch . . .

also, ive seen kays/hippos collabs a lot this past year . . .

did you get the momo2s in your normal wg size? from the measurements ive seen, they are vanity sized an extra inch, so three inches instead of the usual two. also, they are said to use a slightly different material that fades faster, so that may be why you are seeing quicker results.

So I haven't really worn my nf+momos since the first few weeks of december . . . off for the holiday, etc. + wearing my other collabs.

I'm kinda forcing myself to wear them again to get some wear on them - I don't see much, though they are soft, and starting to get shiny. I think I have ~3.5 months on them so far, and hope that I can wear them through summer to get them to the 8 month mark.

I love the material, but the top block of the sg collabs are just so tight that it is really uncomfortable compared to my other pairs of weirdguys that fit perfectly.

Never saw this Big Johnjackets so far.

yeah, i really like the look of their denim . . . i was interested in ordering a pair of their m3 jeans, which are shown in that pic (same material / color as the jacket), but for whatever reason their inseams measure 32" which is way too short for my needs

max, would you be able to measure the waist of your 34w pair? I am wondering how much the waist shrinks after soaking!

just stopping in with some fit pics of the low straights now that they've settled some (and since most pics posted are of jeans laying on the ground). haven't worn them in a while since i got some 3 sixteens but these are coming back out for the next few weeks at least.

color's pretty accurate. had to adjust exposure a bit to compensate for iphone

had this same jcrew hoodie that i wore the snot out of . . . i grew out of it a while ago and have no idea where it is any more . . .
