  1. Not sure why you all are dissing Veilance all of sudden, but as for the Acronym/Veilance comfort and fit I think that the Knight pants from Tilak Poutnik are the perfect match if you're looking for something more smart and comfortable.

The blazer has been sold out since the first drop danii :( I wasn't sure if I wanted it or not and by the time I decided on the nylon metal spider and the blazer, they had sold out. Asked the rep if they will be restocking online soon and she asked me to keep a lookout online but gave me no firm date.

Also, could you kindly post images of a light blue + grey bomber (with the zipper pocked at the back). Has the online lookbook covered all the pieces or does your lookbook contain some new items that have yet to be revealed? Thanks!

The blazer has been sold out very fast indeed. But they have it in this french shop. I like it but will probably stick with Veilance blazers, I wish could find the Hollowcore blazer that SISP did few seasons ago...

  3. SS18 is indeed lovely as always. Can anyone confirm that some outerwear (like Blazer and Nemis) is really made in China? If so, then f*ck 'em, nothing can't justify that price tag.

Anyway, there is a nice article on Veilance at Amer group website.

“We believe that we can become the world’s leading progressive design brand. We are looking to build a complete system beyond apparel: footwear, packs, accessories and a women’s capsule collection in the next few years”, says Kasuga.

  4. Got myself Tilak Poutník Knight pants a while ago. Perfect transition piece, served me well on my trip to Scotland, perfomed well in moors and mountains and looked good enough for nice Edinburgh bars. They still have that Acronym DNA but can't really put a finger on it.

Excellent pants, something that Veilance should try to make instead of those nice but crappy Voronois (now made in bloody China) that cost 3x the price of this.

  5. The original film was indeed very inspiring.

Errolson's admiration for Blade Runner is well known, even other techwear designers like Conroy Nachtigall (formerly of Veilance) cited the movie as their inspiration.

  6. Ad bombers, I don't care, I'm just glad that thanks to their ubiquity they are no longer associated with skinheads and other Nazi scum.

And I think I'll get one bomber from ACG soon...

Can anyone give a comparison of Acronym to Tilak?

In particular Tilak's Evolution jacket and Poutnik range, and in regards to material and fit differences. Pretty sure both Tilak's sage sweatshirt and evolution jacket were Errolson commissioned designs that later found their way into acronym collections (circa 2012, can't find model numbers rn), with some slight tweaking. Essentially, I want some insight into how large the gap between Tilak and Acronym is in terms of material quality/cut (not aesthetics and other less tangible aspects) for directly comparable products, since Acronym still (?) use the Tilak factory to make their stuff.

There is no difference in quality, both are top notch. Some pieces used exactly the same types of Gore-tex/Polartec materials, now I think it's more varied and both brands use the new types fabrics more often, still highest quality.

The fit is of course different with each product, some of it is very trim, some more traditinal expedition, hiking fit for more layers.
