Is it true that Gore is, well ... more benevolent with giving Gore-Tex licences to Japanese brands (visvim, WM, OF, Bape...)?
In the west companies must follow very strict rules and test all their GT products and many of them lost their license over the years, I'm not sure if that's true with Japanese streetwear brands.

are there videos or stuff I can read concerning the construction of the veilance range? would love to find out more!
There is an excellent interview with Conroy (Veilance head designer) and also one here. Not much about construction, more about ideas and development of the line.
Some official informations about the construction , design and materials.

“Arc’teryx products are the Hermès bags of men’s performance wear,†declared Errolson Hugh*...
Yes, it is the finest outerwear I ever had. I'm just waiting for my Veilance sweatshirt and Epsilon jacket (from standard outdoor collection) to arrive.

One of them is probably Tilak Ogre Power Shield

I know bagjack and acronym bags are similar but not identical as have owned each
Does anyone else find it a bit weird (and quite sad) that there are people who own Acronym items without knowing much about the brand?

@greencarman: I'm pretty sure it's the opposite, there is one Tilak jacket that looks like it was designed by Erolson for them, or borrows heavily from his designs. (from memory inthink the Evolution) The rest of Tilak's stuff is extremely well made but pretty much the same cuts as what Arc'teryx and Mountain Hardware make.
It is a well known fact (even around here) that Acronym does indeed design for Tilak and they share a production plant.
Most, if not all, of Tilak outerwear products in few last years have been designed by Acronym.

Yes or no?
Arc'teryx Veilance merino tee.

Quite possible, Tilak already have one jacket with GT Active Shell this season.

I'm not sure about Dita, it looks too big, colourful and fashiony for techninj. I prefer some really small Italian brands (ungooglable) or Polaroids, even Oakley have some nice, more stealth pieces.

In other news, ACR is now on the cover of William Gibson's new book.

Never heard about that, as far as I know they are both privately owned and independent companies.
Acronym is definitely doing design work for Tilak and they share some more difficult manufacturing processes, like laser cuts, lamination, taping etc.

My only problem with Tilak is their bold red hindu-esque logo, I wonder if they can issue single pieces without their branding...
I'll probably email them about it soon. Loke is looking great but Ventile can be quite heavy, bear that in mind. I'm getting black Tourmalet vest, it also look like poor man's Acronym.
