I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a pair of R400 soon, any reasons to talk me down?
Also, when is the next restock at Tuckshop?

I guess on the upside, if they are real and that is chalk, that must be some kind of steal, right?
But yeah, the patch seems suspect...

Seems as if I've stumbled upon something! I wonder why they were there.

Hey altoclefchris, just this one - The jacket was shown on Denimbro. I look at the site once a week but have never joined so cannot post the question. thanks

What I was wondering is if the selvedge was from Cone or if it is from a prefecture in Japan(since it says Japan raw selvedge) and yea I'm totally stoked about the righteous honeycomb potential myself.
I'm not sure. I want to say the salesman (at Levi's Meatpacking in NYC) said that it was japanese denim, but it was never clear which mill it came from.
My first pair of raw denim was from that line, and they did fade pretty well, so I too can attest to that attribute

Hey all - Anyone know who makes this jacket? thanks
Do you have a front pic? That would probably be helpful.

anyone recognize these jeans? Or know where I could get the specifics. Where the denim is from, the weight of the denim, where they were made, etc.
Also while I'm here, those appear to be from Levi's now-discontinued Selvage Goods line (at least the jeans in the pictures).
It also looks like this particular model is known for their AMAZING HONEY COMB FADES!!!

Samurai describes their method as a 4 5 thread difference or something like that...from what i remember reading. They use different gauge threading for the warp and weft it may also have to do with the tightness of the weft threading and the difference in size
Ok, that makes sense. Thanks!

If you're talking about shirting fabrics and things like that, sometimes they call something brushed where they do it to just one side of the fabric. Don't know exactly what that entails but I'm pretty sure it's not related to the weft...
I was talking about denim, I have a pair of Left fields that are much rougher on the outside than the inside.

Construction question: why do some fabrics have a rough exterior and a smooth or soft interior? Does it have to do with the type of weft thread used?

Roping
in superdenim
Comparing the chainstitch to the single needle, the chainstitched hem roping has so much more depth to it. Personally, I think roping on chainstitch hems looks better than single needle roping.

I want to see some pictures of the 0702AI worn in.

No, the 15oz is white weft, I doubt they will run the green weft again, unfortunately.
Ohhhh, I see.

Thanks man! Chris they ran a small run about 6-800 yards but never went into a full production run which is usually at least 4000 yards. Unfortunately, they haven't been doing much development since White Oak is at full capacity and running the basic 12.5 oz staple all day long, so it was nice to get a hold of some more unique fabrics from them. They did come out with a beefier 15 oz which I have currently in sewing. Should be inhouse in about 2 weeks.
Ah, cool. Always nice to be part of something small like that. I assume the 15oz uses the same weft threads?

Ohh okok I didn't know that cause I just bought mine. Red is very cool though.
I'm not entirely sure, but I thought I saw something on the original blue owl post announcing the 21oz that the samples all had red lines

How come his selvedge line is in red?? I thought all 21oz comes in blue selvedge??
Wasn't the sample run of the 21oz done with a red line?

Yeah, it's a very subtle tint. The indigo on these is such a nice color, too.
I had no idea that this fabric never actually went into production!

Post em! Would def consider Left Field for future denim. Fit pics as well?
Here's the warp...
and weft.
I'll post some fit pics later when someone can take them.
And yes, Left Field is definitely worth your consideration!

Ok, thanks. I'll keep an eye out!
Does the hemp blend cause any major differences in the fabric or the feel?
