I have to say, while I've never owned or even seen anything made by Tender in person, I really appreciate this thread. So many cool things going on at once!

The reason why I went with raw denim is because of the availability of jeans with long inseams. If I was a lil shorter, I'd be rockin LVC or RRL washed models right now.
So I tried raw denim and it's just not for me. It's convenient because you can just wear one pair of quality jeans almost everyday but the bleeding process is really annoying to me. Plus, I want my jeans to look sexy right now and be able to switch between diff styles.
So I ask your help, sufu, is there washed denim out there for a tall ass nigga like me?
You may be in the wrong place... but I had similar problems before trying raw denim. It looks like nudie offers a lot of their washed/pre-distressed offerings with longer inseams. What specifically do you mean by "washed?"

^Thanks man.I'll have to check those out. I just remembered 3sixteen just released a 17oz too.
No problem! Good luck on your search!

Hey guys- can anyone tell me if there are any good 17oz+ pairs out there for sub $300? And not NF or unbranded. Preferably a fuller cut. I would be totally down for either 11bsp or the IH 634s but don't really have the budget for either. Any input would be great!
Red Cloud and Co. does a 17oz denim for around $220. You coup also check out some of the indonesian brands, they're typically pretty inexpensive.

Souvenir jackets are so cool. Approve.

have heard about it, but never experienced it first hand...
left seam on the left leg of my new samis naturally sit square in the center of my boot. what's the remedy for this sort of thing, as just adjusting them backward leaves them feeling awkward and they end up back twisted regardless
Broken twill

I tell you I'm shocked ... What is the point of making a reproduction jacket to stuff it up with such an important detail? It's not as if the jackets are cheap ... Makes you wonder what else is wrong.
Are you sure it's not fake? Where did you get it?

oh oh oh. i see where you're talking about. it's still just to make sure the edge stays clean and doesn't fray.
But why not fold the denim over and stitch that to the canvas? Sorry if I'm not being clear, I can't find a single picture of what I'm talking about.

hey chris. the selvedge has to get cut at the hip otherwise the waist would be much larger than tagged size. the overlock prevents the edge from fraying and gives a clean look
I mean on the inside of the pocket, like under where the coin pocket is.

Alright, here's a question:
Is there any reason why the pocket bags are hem locked where the inner part of the bag meets the denim? All of my other jeans have a finished stitched edge at that point. I know it's a really minor detail, but the anal denim freak part of me wants to know haha

yeah, I don't buy "no washes"
but they're certainly grail worthy!

I have had the urge to come back and look at these beauties many times. I think they deserve a repost.
No kidding, those are beautiful. It's pictures like that that make me want to try Evisu No. 1

The new patch on the Chelseas looks great!

8 months, 5 washes. Will probably get a wash soon.
First real damage:
I love that grainy marbled texture at the bottom of the legs, seems to mostly show up on heavyweight denim

anyone know of a good, cheap denim jacket? i don't want selvage but a nice dark wash would be nice
Levi's trucker rigid is a good option.

New to this forum and to raw denim. Here's my first pair after 3 weeks. These are the Left Field Kuroki Mills Chelsea, sold to me by satchel up there!
They have broken in very nicely. These are a size 30, and originally I thought they would be a little to big, but the fit is perfect.
Nice fit, welcome!

Sure, thanks for the info!

Yes It is slubbier as compare to the normal version. However, the signature weave and cut remains the same.
Hmmmm. I'm actually kind of partial to the red detailing on the regular R400 versus the green on the R400H, so I think I'll wait for that restock. I'll probably be back then for some sizing advice

I made my first real vintage find today- a 1960s Lee storm rider I picked up for $30. I can post some pictures this weekend if anyone's interested.
