  1. have you tried paclite? im not sure delamination is possible with it.... but regardless I found it the easiest to keep clean, and being goretex it's not exactly going to develop patina or start thinning out like cotton.

    i envy you j1a-gtv owners!

  2. "shadow" being some kind of spin off subsidiary really seals it. it's unfortunately not surprising at all that a disastrous attempt to combine political process and technology would be the hotbed of a misconstrued Acronym aesthetic.

  3. after seeing that part of the video I reached out to the shop and the person who replied ended up buying my item for themselves, rather than for some kind of analyzation or deconstruction. it gave me some refreshing perspective. their standards for what it means for a garment to be outworn are clearly pretty high. wearing it everyday for 6 years, and then falling off a motorcycle while wearing it is probably about the bare minimum.

also nothing wrong with a local tailor if you're not dealing with a speciality fabric. just because the garments are produced to some degree of complexity doesn't mean they can't be adjusted or repaired by someone local to you. it's a big mistake to let a flaw like a hole or tear worsen while you wait for an email reply. been there.

  4. FS: J16-GT Medium

    $1,400 USD + shipping

    Full pack

Just washed this with Grangers. Pictures incoming. Just go find it on grailed, I ended up getting rid of a stubborn dirt mark on the rubber zipper, so any other flaws were too small to photograph.

  5. whose got large hardshells? my medium J16-GT is getting too slim on me to layer with it, so I'd like to replace it with something of similar value.

I will be asking $1500 USD + shipping for my medium J16-GT. It's like new besides one aesthetic flaw with the rubberized zip near the hem. ill provide photos after i give it a wash with the correct rain jacket detergent

  6. decision paralysis. part of me is hoping all the 3-pack and wallet options sell out before I can decide on one lol. anyone up to play tradesies with their 3 pack? im leaning towards the white WR zip for the sake of visibility.

might as well finally throw in that usb drive 3a lol.

  7. all the p30a's for sale in the sales thread was a bit discouraging, seemed like many people we're not liking them, but I got mine in and my initial impressions are very strong. ill perhaps edit this post with a fit pic so I can be the tall guy reference. I think I'm happy with sizing up for length, but even at 6'3ish I would think a medium would still be fine

anyone have a step by step process on how to actually remedy incorrect duty charges? would be nice to post it up here in the FAQ. I'm not expecting Acronym's limited support to spend time on helping me out with this.

  9. anyone know the retail price of the 3a-mz3 and mz5 foil? And these only came as pairs correct? I've been meaning to pick them up but definitely don't want to pay more than retail for already expensive little pouches. Posting this here as it might as well be a WTB

If you can take it a step further and remind me of the measurements for each that would be very nice! all i know is the mz3 is the larger one, unless I have it backwards...

Edit: the xpac ones are still on the site so i found the measurements there

Just finished (skim) reading all pages dating back to October last year, I haven't been on for a minute, it's good to see this still going. Definitely the older users.

A question if I may, opinions and reviews of the Infinium (-fo) fabric? In hand colour (it changes quite a lot depending on the photo) and durability? How well, or poorly, does it age?

I'm not sure what it is but there's something that's really attracting me towards the J46-FO but I go through mood swings in regards to the fabric. Anyone got the J46-FO and could share their experience with the piece?

Any information would be great. Fit pics would be amazing!

    Thanks.

I think I posted about it a while back. I love my J46-FO. I encourage all Acronym fans to try a FO piece eventually. My only complaint is that the collar doesn't look great when you squish the hood all up in it, but I'm fine with just leaving the hood out. J46 is _the_ long cut Acronym design and FO is the most futuristic fabric they offer so I don't think you can go wrong here.

On that topic it would be cool to see a J68-FO or an insulated J65-FO with a hood come to fruition.

somehow I like the 3A bicolor Kompression buckle detail on the 3A2

same! I couldn't think of an excuse for buying it. I would have liked to see this in the olive xpac. I was tempted to DIY a 3A-2 by using a 3A-MK2 + strap.

    maybe 3a-9 will return too?

You can use something like Visualping or some other webpage change monitor (e.g., Distill/Check4Change/etc).

definitely considered these but im hoping someone here is geek enough to elaborate on their DIY solution. looking for something simple and efficient. i was thinking you could just inspect the total length of the main page's html content, but i dont know enough about web dev to know if thats worth exploring

  13. My P31-DS M are too short for me. Hoping to trade these for:

    • P31-DS L
    • P30A-DS L
    • P24A-DS M
    • P32-DS M

Happy to consider other things too, but I'm basically looking to walk away with another DS trouser.

I have someone lined up to buy these if I can't find anything so don't bother asking to purchase if you're not going to offer me an absurd amount that allows me to pay resale on something else.

Dawg, the real real regularly has Mark downs and discount codes. The p23 on there was $800 like a week or two ago. Coulda saved yourself some cash

I saw the other pair, but it's medium, so I wasn't miffed about it. maybe if their support is really nice I can get a further discount if I ask about a better promo they did recently, but I wouldn't know of any. Was there a better promo than 20% off?

J16-GT could be the only Acronym piece I own for the rest of my life and I'd be quite happy. Pocket capacity > quantity but fortunately it has both. The chest pockets are huge. Looking at pictures of it before, I assumed the pockets would reach up to the stitch line just above the top zipper, but they actually go all the way up to the shoulder stitching, it's wild. Will swallow boarding passes and books with ease.

Yea I don't see myself moving mine either unless people want to pay up for it. It has wings

Nice summary, and I quite appreciate the jacket's roomy and smooth fit meet the stiffness of gt pro.

I was just wondering what is the velco for on chest pocket and sleeve bits?

The small patch on the front lets you snap the jacket closed through tactile feedback. You hook your thumb through the snap loop on the right and feel the velcro to locate the accompanying snap on the left.

The sleeve is just a nice throwback to the varsity jacket and arguably ornamental. It's basically the logotape velcro in a different size, shape, and location.

I love my J59TS-CH but the GT version is intriguing because its just so unordinary. And those cuffs!!
