Thanks Volvo. They're great jeans - very comfortable with plenty of room in the top block. In fact, the light weight is a nice, contrasting change to the Samurai 710s I'm (mostly) rotating them with. I think the 20s will be a good friend this summer.

Decided to throw caution to the wind and get some suspenders (or braces if you prefer) for my TCB 20s... well, they were made for them. I know opinions are polarised but I must say that I'm loving them.

That's good to know Niro. Haven't been out in the rain in them but I can imagine they would be pretty porous. 

Decided to get my Oni 527 secret denim's out for a run this weekend as it's been a while. Despite being a slim fit, they quickly soften up. It doesn't feel like you're wearing 20oz even when you're putting them through their paces. Top jeans - always nice for a change.

With Oni 527, Samurai S552XX, Hillside scarf, ELMC tee, RMC N3 shirt, Skulls wallet.

Inspired by recent natural indigo posts, I decided to give the Self Edge x Dry Bones SEXDB19 collaboration a run this weekend. Infrequent wear since July '13 means little evo but they're great jeans that my snaps don't really do justice to...

They're not really the intended 20s repro though without the buttons. I've got an old pair of LVC 33s with buttons. I managed to wear them with a belt for years. Not ideal but an option.

I hear you Erk. Double takes from passers by, endless ribbing from mates. However braces can look pretty good. I think one of the issues is getting a pair long enough (for the taller fellas) so that they don't elevate said 20s up to the armpits! The only pair I've touched so far were way too short and super elasticated. Like bungee cords!

Morten at FHUTT does aesthetic braces and will make them bespoke, though not the cheapest trial pair.

Thanks for the numbers ColdStorage. Just checked my XL to be sure. The P2P is coming out as 60cm = 23.6" (+.35) as you say. Shoulders 50cm = 19.7" (+1.2). Waist 55cm = 21.7" (+.45). Collar to tail 75 cm = 29.5" (+1.25). Can't remember if there was ever an XXL.

What are the measurements on the L?  Got any pics?  Can't recall the difference between XL and L - it's been a while!  Cheers.

The Nihon Menpu chambray from 2012 was 310 USD originally. Haven't got an L but a well washed XL P2P is 60cm.

Agree with the comments here. My SExDB19s have only had light wear but there are no signs of wear whatsoever. The denim is awesome and the construction top notch so I'll just roll with it and see what happens. These bad boys are looking like lifers.

Appreciate the direction from the Samurai cognoscenti Max P, b_F and Al6ert. The 710SBK fit looks similar, but with a bigger rise, to the SEXDB19s I've got. Liking the look of the black denim though. Pleased to hear about the rather fast fading. Helps with the challenge of getting them there given the competition for the so few wearable hours in the day! Suppose they'd look good hanging on their hook waiting though...

Hello gents. I was wondering if anyone has any fade pics of the black 17oz zero denim or, if not, an idea of how it will fade? Views on the speed of fading and if the same kind if contrast can be expected on the black compared to the indigo would be of interest. You know how it is... I don't need a pair because I have a number of pairs of jeans stacked up ready to go but you can't help looking... any faded S710BK pics would be a bonus but I suspect less likely due to limited numbers... anyway, if you don't ask... thanks.

Thanks man! The belt is made in Italy and I bought it in Rome when I was there last spring. It is from a store called Asole&Bottoni. 5mm thick leather, but I honestly don't know of what kind.
