Thanks Mr. Nic! Yeah its pig skin. There was no horween logos on the cordovan pieces...so I did that to add some class
That whiskey wallet is sewn with sewing awl thread. Finally gave it a try after your recommendation. I dig it. It lays really nice in the hole
I can see why its your go to thread.

I have been collaborating with a local boot maker to make the first Blackacre Horween HORSEHIDE Boot!!!!
I am beyond happy with the results so far. i will post some updates after the new year. if anyone is interested that is......
anyways, was at a local shoemaker supply store today picking up some of the last details needed for the boot. and in a dusty corner in the back of the store i found this little treasure trove

^^dont be buying up all my horsehide . Or I will hunt you down!!!! Lol!

Lucaas I would give horween a call.BUT! You are going to wait FOREVER!!! And your going to pay about $9 sqft
I am lucky cause my buddy over at autumshere.com orders large amounts of horween stuff thought a rep. And I can "attach" my little orders to his at a good price.
But I use maverick too. They are a bit slow to respond sometimes. But super nice family owned company.

I am hoping the boot project happens.....but I will be entering some custom engineer boots I am getting made from some of my stock of horween horsehide. Just trying to pick what color I want to do. Brown, black or Burgundy. Hmmmmm....

Who is worse, the guy who made it or the asshole who buys it?? Lol

Jaw, I think its super cool that you make nice leather knife rolls for chefs. A untapped market! They look great! Good chefs have good knifes...I am sure they appreciate a nice quality roll to carry there prized items in. A truly great niche item

Lazybum- thanks a man. I really wanted to do a black stitch....but I am a bit of egotistical maniac, and like to show off my stitching. Lol...as far as floating pockets....I did them like a flathead or redmoon.
Hollows....I do local craft deals all the time. I focus on $20-$40 items. Braclets, leather wraped_ bottle openers, belt loops BIC lighter sleeves etc etc, I bring my expensive stuff but its more for show and helps sell smaller items...just my two cents

Congrats mr. Nic!
Beyond cool! Wish they would have dropped your name though.
Paleo dig the passport holder

lazybum, you kill me with every post dude! great stuff!

Well done marine!
Cool stud work! !!
Your stitching is looking better with every post!
What kinda leather are you using?
Btw!!!! I never thanked you for the buckles
...they are so cool. I am saving them for a cool project in the near future

I too am a big fan of siewa thread.....but its crazy expensive.but I dig that its flat so it lays in the hole like sinew giving a exaggerated staggered look that I really love.
When it comes to thread it really depends on your awl size.

second attempt at a long wallet. Stitching is so sloppy
Looks good dude! Stitching is a crazy thing! Takes time to get it right.
If that's your 2nd wallet long wallet I would wear it with pride!
