Nice man, wish I had grabbed a second pair. Definitely my favorite pair that I've worn thus far.

^ Unfortunately, I bought the biggest size they had.
Update to my sizing issue:
I decided to wear them for a bit, to stretch them out as much as possible. I'll do the first cold soak about a month in (not worried about anything moving), but I've worn them everyday for about 10 days or so now. First couple were rough but not even 2 weeks in and I'm glad I stayed the course. They've stretched quite a bit already and fit great.
This denim is crazy abrasive, already seeing that electric blue starting to come out in spots

That fabric is actually relatively stable for an unsanforized jean so if you stick with cold water, the shrinkage can be pretty minimal. It’s also rather loosely woven so it’s pretty forgiving.
thanks man I'm just gonna do a cold soak and will have to stretch back whatever shrinkage comes with it by wearing em

Has sufu been getting busier lately (a lot of OG's seem to be back), or is it just that I'm checking it more lately myself and realizing this denim thing still has legs?
Lol idk but I was gone for years..
But I'm back after looking into and settling on a new pair

Sure, if you keep them dry they won't shrink at all
Thought about that but have never tried.. anybody have any luck with it?
I feel like eventually they're gonna get so dirty that I'm gonna be forced to wash so its almost as if I'm delaying the inevitable.

Anybody have a good technique for minimizing the shrinkage on the first soak of unsanforized denim?
I have a new pair that fits perfect/tight as can get and there's really not much room to shrink.

anybody know of a technique other than a cold soak to get the least amount of shrinkage out of a pair of unsanforized denim?

I purchased the Self Edge Strike Gold Wavy tapered and they fit perfectly... before a soak.
Any suggestions on getting the minimum amount of shrinkage? Thinking a cold 30 minute will have to do.
There's just no room to go any tighter so im thinking I'm gonna have to take whatever shrinkage I get, then wear em/stretch back out as much as possible

If there's one upside to the global pandemic, it's lots of bored old-school denim nerds finally getting around to taking pictures of their jeans.
Awesome pair, I'd say that's one where it'd be well worth the cost to have Indigo Proof patch them up. Also, I think putting the patch on the left side of the waistband should be standard practice for left-hand twill models.
Lol true!
Also agree, left hand patches on left hand twill is a great detail

thanks, Kiya. Yeah I was thinking a 42, based on Shoreman saying his was a bit short. I know these shrink .5 so a 42 it is.
thanks again!

Kiya - I want to cop the new Flat Head loopwheeled shirt you guys have and Im trying to figure out the sizing. . I'm at work right now so Im not able to take my measurements.
Im assuming its roughly:
40 - small 42- medium 44- large
is this correct?
In regards to sizing on the shirts, do they run small at all? trying to decide between a medium and large.
I know this doesnt really help but Im 5'10" and about 160 lbs.

Thanks, Tigerprawn. Was on my phone when I first looked and didn't see it on the website.

Man those key hooks are tough. Where do I cop? I don't see them on the artist website..

nice man.
yeah, I addressed that with Kiya early on, in re: to the waist issue but he said that he measured more pairs and the most he was showing was .5" off so...
I found a piping hot soak in the washing machine(initial soak) shrunk the waist down pretty good, however after wearing them they do stretch back out a bunch.
I'm a size 31 in all of my other Flat Head denim but I could have probably went down to a 29 on these.
still, after learning just how hard these were to see to fruition, and without actually being able to try them on in person, I believe Kiya and Self Edge do an unbelievably great job at trying to help each person with their individual requests in re: to sizing questions.

Good question. I had spoke to him a couple times just messaging about this pair of denim but as far as his identity, I personally don't know who he is.
I remember years ago, around the time this pair came out, a couple of folks that were more plugged in behind the scenes seemed to know who he was though.
Is Warp And Weft a film or something? Gonna have to check it out
