Even though I was super excited for this jean. I am unfortunately out. I've just got two pairs of ROY's and they fit better than the Fullcounts I already own so I'm sticking with them for awhile. Sorry and good luck to all involved. 

They absolutely chain stitch and do a fantastic job even on Samurai 25oz denim.

I have to say that I think the two pairs of ROY's I now own have ruined me for other jeans. I was a bit of a skeptic, I have to admit but once actually getting to wear these pairs (RS04 and KS1002) it is amazing how well thought out they are in terms of cut and consequent fit. I have searched for a good pair of slimmish jeans both straight cut and with a bit of a taper and there is always something off. Not true with ROY's. They are made for actual human beings to wear.

Thanks for the defense Hollows. Funny thing is Aries, I'm not even American and was educated to quite a high level in a much better education system. I just find all this posturing over who's taste or opinion is the most valid boring and very arbitrary. Who decides who's subjective preference is the correct one? The internet gives people an inflated sense of importance and SuFu can get a little  bloated with it all sometimes. 

Educated opinions and clear discussion is fine and to be encouraged but I'm not sure the majority of this counts. It just comes off as bickering. 

Anyways, carry on. My opinion is just another in the crowd and can as easily be ignored. I'll bow out and apologize for my bluntness.

Currently 22. Too lazy to write the list and I might be moving a few on soon anyway. The 2 I'm trying to wear as my daily jeans right now are the newly acquired ROY's. RS04 and KS1002.

I sort of agree with your point tmadd but this Cone is very similar to the 47's I mentioned. However that denim was as far as I can tell only used for 1 years production and is not in any way like anything from LVC in the past 5 years. It might not have been as hairy but the overall texture, color and weave were a lot alike. One Cone that was as hairy as this was the loomstate version used on the Money Bags Specials made for Denimbro by Rising Sun. I still haven't washed my pair of those or worn them a tremendous amount and it is definitely as hairy as this from Roy.

Anyway, I bet it will be slower to fade than Samurai or Warehouse are, which is what I was using for comparison. All Cone is slower than them but this is not a critisism at all, just an observation.

^Yes, stubborn as in tough to fade. Cone, most times is a slow build kinda denim. Of the Japanese brands I think Full Count comes the closest but even that yields a little quicker. At the moment I'm enjoying the contrast as I've been wearing Samurai and Warehouse a lot lately. It's also a bit nostalgic because the first real pair of raws I ever bought (like many) were some LVC 47's and those were made of a similar denim that LVC no longer uses and were a similar cut.

I think Marilyn wears a pair of Levi's better than almost any other woman ever. Never get tired of seeing images of her in jeans especially from the Misfits era or in her 'off' hours.

Thanks to a friend thinning his collection I'm now in the Roy owners club. Pretty much brand new pair of RS04 and thanks to managing to lose a little weight I've also managed to come down a size. These are pretty good stuff (as you all know) and the denim is instantly recgonizable as Cone. It's been awhile since I bought any Cone, after pretty much giving up on LVC and I'm fully expecting it to be stubborn stuff. So, now I just have to have a little self control and put some good wear into them instead of changing from pair to pair throughout my hoard.

They're back but now out of my size in the 710OG. Oh well, probably better for my bank balance.

If you think the buttons on 16oz Sam's are bad try the 25oz. The 15th Anniversary 5000's were brutal for the first few weeks.

1101 and no to stealth arcs, sorry. Maybe a different contrast color, like a more orange shade or a real lemon yellow but no stealth. Those are for Samurai.

If packages come EMS/USPS the chances of duty being charged are slim put not impossible. FedEx is the worst, UPS somewhere in the middle. It doesn't happen right away. You get a bill in the mail later for the duty fees. It's a total crap shoot and the fees are based on a set of very complicated and arbitrary equations.

Does anyone know if Denimio will do the mark down for customs thing. Was going to go with BiG but there price is a little steep when you factor in that Denimio has free shipping but the duties can be steep if added.

Ok, re-voted. Sad that camo isn't an option but flannel will be interesting. These could end up being a pretty sweet pair of jeans.

Not to clutter this thread or be contrary but if 'hidden' arcs that don't break down become a feature, I'm out. I think that the self 'custom' arcs that are all cotton and therefore can degrade is a big plus for me. The similarity of Fullcounts to vintage Levi's at a better quality level than current LVC is their main attraction.

I voted for 1101 but would do WW2 as well. Out if 1108, too slim for my taste.

I'd be in for a pair of 1101 with offset belt loop, donut buttons and camo pocket bags in this half 'n half denim.

Just binge watched Penny Dreadful. Actually quite enjoyed the schlockiness of it. I think it did justice to the style and atmosphere of the pulp nature from the original publications.

Interested in The Strain, I'll catch up tonight most likely. Also glad The Bridge is back.

Mpukas, you're fit has actually inspired me to turn down the cuffs on my 510's and wear them like that today.

Portugal, just like England, always flatter to deceive. Neither of them ever show up when it counts. If they forget this and actually put some effort in then maybe they make it out of the group stage but very, very rarely past the quarters. I feel this is one reason Ronaldo doesn't play his best for the National team because he seems surrounded by other players who can't be bothered. Unlike United or Real when at their best where everyone was/is giving their all.
