  1. Hey everyone,

I heard about the Sweatpant contest from /r/rawdenim on reddit and it sounded pretty cool so I joined. I guess I'm a Left Field fanboy now since I already have the Nisshinbo jean and the Cone Duck jean. I'm really liking the sweatpants so far, very comfortable. I can't wait to see how everyone's sweats progresses. I hope you all enjoy them and best of luck with the contest!

Here are some pictures I took last weekend:

    Excuse the diaper butt

Nice fit, ESE.  Can't wait to see everyones fits/introductions.  I got one of the unwashed pairs, and did a wash myself last night.  Ended up losing about an inch and half from the inseam which was good for me.  I forgot to peek inside the washer midwash, but comparing against the unwashed pairs they look pretty similar to me.  If anything, some more electric blues popping through.

@EmperorSelassieEye  Love the fit on yours.  It makes me want to shrink mine. The 1.5-2 in of inseam shrinkage would really help me out.  Maybe an inside out cold water soak with a hot dry would not have much indigo loss.

I think they look good with the stacking - I mean obviously you'll have to wash them eventually, but I wouldn't be too concerned if my unwashed fit looked like that!

Sidenote - is anyone going to try to leave them unwashed the whole year??

  2. have i missed the Sweatpant 20% discount?

Cant see anywhere to enter the code?

(will delete if this is inappropriate/ im being a dunce  ;) )

Hi UkeNo!  You have to add the item to your cart, go to checkout, enter your billing and shipping address, and then on the payment screen there will be a box for coupon codes.

Hit me up if you need any other help.

  3. As promised, ordered a pair of the new heavy Collect Greasers in size 37 today.  Supporting the new size addition.

Spent mad loot on Left Field within the last year, but it's worth it.

My wife might kill me but at least I'll die in a pair of greasers.

Hey Chris.  Thanks for all of your support.  We always notice repeat customers, and without the Superfuture community and all of their support I can't really imagine where Left Field would be.

We just put up a preorder of the 23 oz. Collect Mills Greasers for those that are interested.  40 pairs available.

  4. wiz will have best backcourt in nba (excluding gsw) by next year. wall 17 points 15 assists 6 steals 4 boards on okc...gd

i love bradley beal.  i don't mean to be blasphemous, but i get major ray-allen-in-his-prime vibes.  great three point stroke with the ability to drive and penetrate for the mid range jumper.

i also expect john wall to be an elite shooter.  you can kind of see it when he slows down and elevates vertically around a pick and roll.  .84 free throw percentage this year is a great sign, too (up from .77, .78, and .80).

  5. Here is the patch... any ideas what they are, when they were from? I love the watch pocket up on the waistband.

I was waiting for Christian to chime in, but I cleaned out his back room last year and have kind of seen a mishmash of everything he's ever made.  I believe they are an early version of the Greaser fit (green stitching and high watch pocket).  I've got a couple pairs that are similar - 'vintage' Left Field.

  7. ^^Totally agreed. I was hoping he can make it, without him, Raptors won't be 3rd seed at this point. Not all credits go to him since Derozan is part of it. But comparing Derozan and Lowry, Lowry definitely impact more than Derozan for the Raptors.

the same thing happened last year with david lee and stephen curry - now he's a starter with more votes than dwight howard or james harden.

  8. thoughts on all star selections? (even though i realize it doesn't matter)

biggest snubs - dragic, boogie, anthony davis.  did stevenson deserve to make it?

i guess kobe will step down soon so that gives anthony a spot with all star weekend in NO

kind of a bummer that those west coast dudes won't make it considering the east has irving, bosh, millsap, noah, joe johnson, and derozen who all would not make a west coast all star roster.

  9. i've only used vaporizers 2-3 times during my heavy smoking days and always kind of felt that way, but i'm thinking maybe they weren't dialed in right or i wasn't getting good hits or something. does a high end table top vaporizer still give you a strong high like smoking from a bong? i always hear 'it's different' but whether it's different or not, i still want it to be strong if i'm spending $200-300 on the thing. i guess since my tolerance is completely gone and i don't plan on doing any traditional smoking again it won't be much of a problem.

I really like the Volcano, and I'd say it's equivalent to traditional smoking.  The best thing is you can smoke the same bowl 6-7 times before it noticeably loses effectiveness.  The first bowl from the Volcano starts pretty subtle with a sweet, floral quality.  It'll lose the freshness by bowl 4 and by 7 it just doesn't really taste like much.  I start it on 5.5 and crank it up .5 per bag.  The Pax starts with more taste, but I didn't prefer it, personally.  It's definitely not bad, but just more syrupy.

  10. damn, the Spurs caught the injury bug this season. just in time for a 9 game roadie.

gives me hope the wizards can snag another win on this 5 game road trip...

beat the warriors last night, but clippers tonight with okc, portland and spurs next.

  11. Haven't tasted bud in over a month and a half while I've been looking for a new job and trying to keep my options open in case of drug tests. If I get the job from the company I just interviewed for I'm going to convert over to only using vaporizers.

Been looking at a lot of reviews lately and I think I've narrowed it down to a few units. If I get a table top vaporizer for the home, it's between the Arizer Extreme Q, which looks like a traditional vape that can be used with a whip or a bag, and the Plenty by Storz and Bickel, which is whip only and looks like some sort of futuristic photon drill power tool but is a nice quality machine and made by the same company as the volcano. If I want to go portable, I think I've settled on the Ascent by Davinci. A little less sleek and stylish than the Pax but it looks easier to maintain and still packs a decent punch for a portable.

Any vape experts used any of these? The Plenty is really pushing what I'd want to spend on a vaporizer and I may just go with the Extreme Q because of that. So I guess I'm looking in the $250 price range, but may splurge a bit if the quality is really that much better.

I have a Volcano and a Pax.  I purchased both through Hailxenu (Trichrome Seattle).  Hit him up if you need anything.

Anyways...  If I could go back in time I probably wouldn't purchase the Pax.  It's amazing for discreet, outdoor use, but for someone who smokes regularly I've found myself saying "am I high?" a few too many times.  In addition to that, I've experienced tongue bite and cleaning issues that just don't occur with the Volcano.  The Volcano works well and looks decent enough that my girlfriend begrudgingly lets me keep it out on a side table.  My only complaint is I would love to be able to use a whip with the volcano so in that sense the Arizer sounds like a good option.

Sorry if this doesn't help, but I'd say try before you buy if possible since all of these things are so different.

  12. I just read the nyc market week article on rawrdenim, and this was one of the things that caught my eye.

Can you tell us when these are going to be released?

The hoodies will be available in Fall.  We'll be running them in our heavyweight 18 oz. rope dyed indigo fabric rather than the oatmeal.

  13. Andrew when will you guys be bringing back the seconds? Or has there just not been any lately?

It's definitely on the list to bring them back (and we've got a good amount of seconds on hand).  Our new website build didn't have a way to integrate them in elegantly from the get-go.  You guys will know first once they're available.

Also - we had taken the hem option off the website for a couple days, but it will be live again as soon as our web guy checks his email.  We brought 4 different sewers in to operate the Union Special, but none of them ever got the hang of it.  I've been practicing a couple nights a week since the machine has been set up and now that I've got it under control I'll be doing all of the hems for the immediate future.  I forgot to take macro shots of a couple hems before I left today, but here's a little instagram video to see it in action.

Thanks to everyone for being patient with this process as well as Satchel for all of his help with the machine.

We'll be announcing details regarding the sweat pant contest early next week.

  14. Just curious, how long do the USPS tracking numbers take to show any kind of information?

Got my tracking number for the tees last Friday and it still says that the number is incorrect.

Hey!  Try tracking the package through Fedex.  Our free shipping option ships via Fedex Smartpost which is a service that is picked up by Fedex and then taken to the nearest USPS distribution center to you.  Then the final delivery is completed by USPS.  We're still trying to figure out how to have the tracking numbers sent over through Fedex and USPS, but the service we're using currently doesn't allow that custom configuring.

Sorry for any inconvenience with our switch over to the new website, but there have been some bugs we've been working to iron out.  If you guys see anything or have any questions please feel free to shoot me a PM.  ^_^

  15. Looks really great.

Sweat pant contest is definitely in the works.  Satchel, Christian, and I have all been talking over the details, and will update ASAP.

In the mean time, if you'd like to enter please send me a PM or email so we can begin to get a list together.  [email protected].
