What are the flaws on the sweats that made them seconds?
About an inch and half of seam on the inside of the right leg is exposed. Basically - the seam is closed and the damage shouldn't cause any longterm durability issues, but the seam allowances weren't enough for the fabric to tuck under itself.

Pocket bag repair looks awesome. Love all that stuff. Hope someone find those in a thrift store in 40 years and says "That's pretty neat".
Anyway - hope everyone had a nice weekend. In case you people of Sufu were looking for a size M sweat pant there's one up on seconds as of a couple minutes ago.

^good mechanics for a big but i'm not sure he's gonna be blowing by people or overpowering them at the pro level. according to draft express he shot better than 44% from the 3...which is going to increase his odds considering the analytics ppl are taking over front offices everywhere
I mean - for floor spacing he would be great. You see how the Heat use Bosh now or even a guy like Antic on the Hawks. If you can pull the rim protector away from the hoop everyone else is going to be getting a lot of good looks.

also - who wouldn't take a gamble on this guy in the draft?

Did anybody else notice the seemingly sudden shift in inventory as listed on the LF website? Nearly all the denim went to "Only 2 Left," without any warning or even a gradual count down/reduction over the last handful of days. I took this as an omen and finally grabbed the 17oz cone greasers in a 34 that I've been itching to get. Oddly enough, the listing for that size then went from "Only 2 Left" right back to normal.
Was this a glitch (or perhaps a sly marketing move )?
If these are new & accurate inventory numbers, however, I'd encourage anybody on the fence about a new acquisition might need to get a move on.
We've been making some changes to the website in an attempt to make it a more user friendly experience. We recently added a backend for our brick and mortar stores so that they can place fill-in orders based off of our current stock.
Essentially - all the inventory is held in the section for stores, but 2 pieces are always kept in the webstore. If you see 1 it is the last piece, but if it says 2 there may be a little bit more than that in stock. I've got a potential tweak in mind to fix this, but we're working as fast as we can.
Hope you dig the 17 oz.
Nice pics Roger.
And Ukeno - very cool update. On vacation?

player I would put ahead of cp3
lebron
kd
love
harden
curry
griffin
westbrook
aldridge
parker (homer)
good list but for next season john wall needs to be in the top tier and i would drop westbrook, harden, love, aldridge, and parker into the next tier below (will drose ever play another game?). the rest of those guys are mvp level game changers. probably throw davis into that group too. i like cp3, but when he gets old the decline will be quick. i imagine he'll be a less mobile dwade-esque type of player within the next 3 years.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've worn my jeans about 4 times since I got them last week... can I really not send them back to be hemmed because they are not unworn?
I would honestly prefer not to be hemming jeans that have been so recently acquainted with the danger zone, but if you're after a hem before your first wash feel free to send 'em in as long as they aren't swampy.

Pepper, As a follow up to the great macro shots of the new denim runs, I have to ask: are the standard 36-inch hems now being chain-stitched or are we only going to get a chain stitch if we order a shortened hem?
I keep "visiting" the 17oz Cone Greasers via the website and struggling to convince myself to pull the trigger. I'm trying to put it off both because I want to give my Black Marias a fair go of it and also because I fantasize about getting 34s after I burn off the residual winter weight.
All the jeans come from the factory with an industrial chainstitch, but if you want one from a Union Special that's what we use here in the shop. You'll get a lot more roping from the Union Special.
Love that gold line on the Cone 17 oz. It's pretty remarkable in comparison to most of the stuff that comes out of Cone. Not that the other stuff is bad at all, but just crazy to see them do something so substantial.
That new indigo x indigo twill from cone looks fantastic. Are you guys making anything with that aside from the chinos?
All that's in line now is the chinos... You'll see once they arrive, but the drape and shine make it tough for a top. I could see an unstructured blazer or spring weight quilted jacket being cool - or maybe a vest.
Also - this should make everyone really happy, but we've moved away from using Smartpost as the free shipping option. Orders being shipped to commercial addresses will ship via Fedex Ground and residential orders will ship via USPS Priority Mail. No more packages taking 5 days to go 2 miles.

Anybody out there making decent progress with their Black Marias? I'm nearing the six month mark (just 2 weeks away). I'll put together something more elaborate then. Here's a left knee teaser. This sulfur-dyed Collect Mills stuff is fascinating and stubborn. I love the vertical falling, the slowly emerging texture, and the almost "chalky" appearance of the fading of the whiskers and deeper creases; such an interesting and fun contrast to the evolution of indigo stuffs. Cheers.
These are looking really cool - much lighter than I'm used to seeing the Black Maria.
We just added macro shots of all of the selvedge fabrics.
Here is the new Kaihara and the Grey Heather from Collect. If you wanna see the rest check out the new product. Don't wanna clog things up!

There are some cool department store A-2 jackets from the 30s-60s on eBay. I picked up a brown Horsehide one from Hercules that is really pretty awesome for the price I paid.

When will the new hat be released?
Soon. Going into production shortly. All materials are at the factory. We'll be running 3 fabrics beyond just the ones shown in the first image.
Is that the final version of the jacket, or anything going to be tweaked? Those pockets look big enough to put an ipad in.
Just the sample.

i don't really care about cwgs at all, but sometimes i look in this thread just to marvel at quidich's posting excellence.

Did I see pre-faded/Washed models on one of the racks in a pic posted earlier? Would definitely be interested if that's the case and if they're lightweight. (SORRY, BROS!)
No pre-faded or washed models. We keep some worn stuff on the racks just so people will know what to expect. Obviously there are people out there doing it in a more realistic looking way in 2014, but not really our ethos. People keep asking us to put our heavily worn/faded pairs in the shop up for sale which would probably be the only way we'd do it. We recently picked up a darning machine, so once the chops are there it could be a fun project to put up some worn and repaired stuff...

Just curious if theres any updates on the Type II jacket that was posted here:
http://www.rawrdenim.com/2013/08/ny-trade-show-recap-capsule-man-and-liberty-fairs/
I've been asking Christian the same thing just about every week. Denim jackets will be arriving for late summer. There will be a black one out of the Collect black/black denim with a JP camo lining and an indigo version lined with a nice, soft loose weave cotton twill flannel.Edit: Here's a picture of the sample I posted before.6 -
Thinking about ordering a pack of tube tees. Do these shrink down a good amount after a hot wash? Measurements for a M look good but after a wash will probably be too small so I'm thinking of going for a large and washing them in hot.
Hey Ciabatta - they are unwashed. Given a wash and dry they should shrink to within 3% of quoted measurements. The measurements we provide were taken from washed pieces.

Cone greasers came today! The fit is insanely perfect. I'd post pics, but my room looks like a bomb went of.f because of finals and having just come back from a trip to Texas, I haven't had a chance to clean it up recently.
Did you guys change the cut of the pocket bags? I have a pair from a year ago that I can't fit my hands in, but these are normal length.
Also, why does cone change the selvedge ID so often?
What's up Josh. I'm glad they fit you well and yes - the pocket bags were made larger a few cuts ago. The different selvedge ID just comes from the different runs. They're all very similar, but it's always fun to make the choice and bring in something different. All the little things add up, and it's fun to identify what cut a pair came from through the details.

Disappointing Wizards loss tonight. Seemed like things just weren't clicking.

Those look great, Andrew! How many washes?
One initial wash and then I'm doing a wash a month barring any spills that require a mid-month wash. I wanna see Jyoni's pair...

Hey guys - I just did a blog post with an update on my sweats. 2 months and 6 days! Can't wait to see how these look at the end of the year.

Nice, misterh. Is that what you do for a living?
pepper davies, I'm interested in a seconded sweatshirt (or even 2). Not really feelin the stain thing, but if either or both carry flaws/slubs please let me know.
Hey John - one has a very small white slub and one has a small stitching error that you could definitely fix up invisibly with a little work.
Pepper or christian, I saw on your Instagram that you will be offering darning and repairs shortly, will you also be accepting mail ins?
Yep definitely. Gonna have to spend some time getting up to speed on it. You guys will be the first to hear.
C/Pepper davies-
I gave in and ordered a pair of Greasers on seconds, and put a note on it to hem them... I've actually changed my mind so if you could just ignore that, that'd be great.
I'll shoot you an email too. Thanks
Got it dude. Thanks!

Hey guys - I've been playing pickup basketball with a group of dudes every Thursday in a nice gym in Jackson Heights, Queens. $12 bucks. They have the gym from 730-930. Hit me up if anyone wants to play.
