Man I love that shirt!! But, is it just me that would not feel comfortable paying that amount of money for a shirt? I have however just ordered a (not so expensive) samurai shirt so watch this space for pics when it arrives!

  2. I did a little mod this morning, I took the spring out and fitted a custom elastomer (when I say custom elastomer I mean I cut up a nurf gun bullet ^_^ ) into the spring (I made the elastomer about 2mm longer than the spring) and it seems to be a bit stiffer now. One thing I did notice is that the spring is quite tight to remove so to get a replacement to fit may be a bit of trial and error, IE rather than try to get a uprated spring it would probably make more sense to get a longer one.

I hope that made some sense! I'm in a bit of a hurry.

  3. I've heard that issue a few times now, but I've only had my keys come unclipped once or twice, and only on car seats, so I haven't worried about it too much.  I may look into getting a supply of springs though if i can find something appropriate, so I can amp up the tension before I ship them out.

Hi, Nicholas, if I do experiment I will let you know how it goes! however ,like I said, it may not even be a problem for me!

  4. Hey DylanBooth,

Hollows stuff is pretty great. He's local to me in Minnesota so I like supporting him. I also have the belt loop keychain; my only concern is how loose the clasp is (and always has been). I had my keys fall off when getting in/out of cars a few times so I rarely use it anymore and when I do I also have the keys in my pocket. Is yours loose as well?

I also have some belts and a bifold from him that are awesome. Nice pickup!

Hello mate, yes I too have to admit the spring is a bit on the weak side! also the clasp opens the other way than I expected it too, witch makes it easier to remove the keys than it is to put the keys on! Obviously I am still trialing it but I may well alter it somehow! maybe change the spring for a stronger one as it looks like you can just about remove the spring fairly easily!

Also I would love to see pics of your hollows leather stuff if you have time to post!!
  5. I just got these in the post today! Many thanks to Nicholas (hollowsleather), That man has the patients of a saint!!

...sorry for the bad quality pics and lack of decent pics of the key hook, my phone gave up the ghost halfway through taking these!!!  :o

  6. Mmmmm, those are pretty ridiculous, but then again I don't like spending £200 on a pair of jeans!! I think I may be a bit of a scrouge!!! , anyhow I just thought I would post an update on these, I have had them for ages but I grew out of them and I have now gone the other way :) ...

...sorry about the poor quality picture, my phone is playing up at the moment!

  7. I'm roughly a 44 chest and that's a Large shirt, same as my other IH western. And yes, my understanding is that the westerns are more fitted than the work shirts.

cheers mate, I am a 42" (ish) so I will have to measure a couple of shirts to see which one to order, the medium or the large!

  8. Thank you very much for that, loving the western! I guess it is a bit more fitted than the workshirt!? If you wouldn't mind- what size chest are you and what size shirt did you order? the fit you have looks just about perfect to me!

  9. I LOVE that shirt. I don't have any experience with Samurai's shirts, but IH's shirts are phenomenal.

Mate I would love to see some pics of it (if its not too much hassle!) is it the western or the work shirt? these happen to be a bit cheaper than the samurai ones so that is probably going to be a deal breaker for me!

  10. Wow I love the look of those Fryes! I've never really looked at Frye before. And I would say that they are at least 1 level of work-bootyness of wolverine 1000 mile boots due to the sole and they are definitely work boot looking! I hope that made some sort of sense!?!
