What's the cheapest jeans that uses Cone Mills shrink-to-fit selvedge?

Sorry to hear that WGMDS/grominim I had changed all the Spring 12 delivery of chinos to a 4 hole and used a heavy tex 60 thread to attach. Anyone who needs buttons just email me and I'll send you out some replacements. The heavier stiff canvas tended to put too much pressure for a two hole button. As much as I love a fish eye button they just don't hold like the 4 holes. Christian

cool beans, i wear your duck chinos almost every day. way more than denim now. iconic brown selvedge will be a must buy. maybe 3 pairs. that's how much i love brown selvedge.

a group buy could be 20 people getting 25 yards each, or 10 getting 50. i think there's enough interest, but it has to go through a single trusted member … and that's a lot of hassle for one dude. i'd be totally stoked, though. would be cheaper to go direct instead of an outlet.

How difficult would it be to order a bolt of brown duck, black-line selvedge or any kind of denim from Cone? How about a SuFu group buy?

Good ol' 501 Shrink-To-Fit or something LVC. Older folks wearing Levi's look classier.

technical question: why is japanese selvedge denim more hairy than modern cone mills? The one exception being Roy's custom Cone.

It's a wonder why all Cone denim can't be as hairy as the ones they made for Roy.

Most places online are horrible at customer service. They never respond to my e-mail. I've seen some Cone Mills selvedge on eBay. Keep searching, man.

I think a group buy is in order. Custom Cone Mills roll of denim and one of brown duck sailcloth.

I kinda thought it was both functional and a distinguishing feature. The function being to stitch in a half pocket lining. Then the shape to be different and to brand them as Levis'. I know that they don't have a pocket lining anymore on LVC but I'm pretty sure Mike (Sansome) has found the odd example on his travels. Could be wrong though.

I remember reading about pocket lining, too … though I never seen an example. That makes even more sense.
