  1. There was an ad for the preorder right on the front page of the Emerson Knives website.

    heh

:o Doh! That was silly of me! I'm not a complete knife noob, but it had been a while since I purchased a knife... I guess browsing the inventory of some of the online shops helped with a model choice, but I'm sure I missed seeing some of the more esoteric ones!

This thread is going to be a money pit, I can already tell!:P

@ U MAD, yes it is chisel cut, and I too am looking for a new sharpener - I think the old whetstone I have needs to be stepped up!

And THANK YOU everyone for the nice, supportive comments! :)

Looking forward to spending more time here!

  2. something tells me pink isn't her style

and sweapea, your girlfriends might think you're crazy.. until they drop their phone in the dark and can't use their cellphone screen to find it or whatever, or when they're frustrated that they can't untie something or open something.. hehe

Well... I have to admit that pink one is kinda neat & unusual! Where did you see that one, neonecko? Perhaps the start of a blade binge!

Branespload - thank you :) You'd think that with all that carry space in purses, more women would EDC, but nooo....

  3. Well, the closet cleaning continues - whew! :)

I got some info on these pants from Dr. Heech on Superfuture - you can see the chat here:

Anyways, I've had these sitting around for years, as they are waaaay too big for me! They are the "LVC 1901 5 pocket duck pants", really nice material and finishing. I can't tell you how they fit, but I'm assuming the fit would be similar to the 1900-ish LVC denim. And as Dr. Heech indicated, very limited. I am looking for $220 plus cost of shipping.

    Measurements are as follows (inches):

    Waist: 18.5

    Thigh: 14

    Rise: 14

    Hem: 9.4

    Inseam: 34.5

Don't hesitate to PM me! :)

  4. Thank you Dr. Heech! I'll find a plain backdrop next time around! ;)

And the info on the ducks is much appreciated - yes, they are quite huge - I can pull them on without unbuttoning, with lots of room to spare!

But I think it is unlikely I will be able to find one my size :(

    Bye for now!

  5. Hi everyone! :)

I'm relatively new here, so please go easy on a girl's first "real" post!;)

I got a pair of LVC duck pants a number of years ago as a gift. They are about 4-5 sizes too large, so they've been sitting in my closet. But they've been un-earthed in my spring cleaning/selling binge, and I was hoping you guys might be able to tell me more about them.

They're billed as the "1901 Duck Pants", with 5 pockets, & susupender buttoms. Size 34/34.

Here are some pics for you:

Any info on these would really be appreciated!:)
