  1. Been a while since I posted.
    SExIH07s
Taking these in to get repaired somewhere random as fuck in Hong Kong.
Self Edge refused to keep repairing them, think they must have been through their shop 4-5 times.
Sorta wish their policies stated to you at time of purchase carried forward.... grumble. anyway.
We'll see what random HK dude can do.
I think these are 7 years old.

  2. quick question...i can just barely put on the top button...so if i soak it in hot water... how much would they shrink in the waist?

im quite afraid that after soaking it would be so tight that i wouldnt be able to put it on...how much do they stretch out after wearing it after the hot soak>?

    thanks yall

Shrinks about an inch - stretches back out a little bit. Unfortunately, IMO this is a necessary step - the jeans are going to get wet at some point, and at that point they Will shrink, thus you really have no option not to soak them. You could cold-soak them, but they're still going to get smaller. Might be a good idea to try a size smaller?

  3. is that wear because you wear them too small for your body? I've worn jeans for years an years and mine never fall apart like that?

They're not tight at all on me - I go through knees really hard for some reason. This is definitely more than a month of wear total, probably 6-8 weeks, but very few of those days were leisure days. Will definitely post pics post wash. Didn't carry a wallet during most of that time, just my knife - hence the hole in the pocket.

  4. I'll post pictures sometime of the work that we do at SENY. Patches are applied to the inside, not the outside of the jean. Our repair guy thread matches colors to help blend it in; from the outside, the repairs look just as good as if they were done with a darning machine.

I know this was a while back, but here is some great repair work done by SENY. Note that the area immediately to the right of the (present-day) hole was one giant hole before repairs. Back on the west coast now, obviously with some new holes, so I'll soon have a chance to get my SExIH07's repaired with the magical darning machine. They also re-stitched the back right pocket, but the work is so good that a detail shot would be pointless... You can barely even see the crotch repair!

  5. I'm stealing these pics from you beatle! They were posted in the SExSuFu004 Party Thread.

A few shots of me in my SExIH07III modified jacket:

oh, YOU. When I bought my BK @ SENY your partner told me of this unique, only-one-of-its-kind, non-overdyed TypeIII with pockets... I expressed my envy... Would love to see what other IH prototypes you guys have kicking around, alternative universe style. It looks HOT, by the way.

  6. bt - just hand sew those stitches...and get them repaired properly at SE when u have a chance. Love how destructive ur lifestyle is*

two parallel streams of conversation;) thx, beat

    its all stitched up:)

Just got an idea: I could use this as an opportunity to put a certain forbidden thing in a certain forbidden place... Now if I could just find or make an IH tab...

  7. Shit.. The stitching on the crack-side of my right back pocket has come out. there is a 2.5inch gap. Thankfully, I don't keep anything small in that pocket, unless you count the knife clipped to it. When I bought them @ SESF I was assured that repairs on them were free? Going to see if I can last until I drive back to California.

First real structural damage other than around the cuff zone fray and my knee hole...

Sorry, Don't have normal camera on me right now ...

  8. This thread just blew my mind. I was expecting some obscure lore about these jeans, maybe a few mutterings about seeing them in some lookbook... Those process photos, along with the commentary, are unreal. Thanks for showing us the shop-floor! These things look amazingly beautiful. I'm sure we'd all love to.. uhh.. "beta test" them, if you need any evolutionary data/telemetry for your marketing purposes.

  9. Sorry about the feet. I have no tripod so I try to rest the camera on a surface, but tilting is tricky. I'll work on it. The waist shrank 1.5ish inches, nice snugging up. They didn't shrink very much in inseam length, but the drying process was really slow so I think that perhaps when washed they will shrink a couple more inches. They are nice and stiff, combs are already creased after around an hour of wearing them. Super comfy! Will post more photos when I get time!
