  1. How did you set up your home lab? Just learn process at school, find used equipment, etc.? I'm a total amateur and am impressed by the dedication it takes to do film on your own. Would love to not have to count on a lab for development/prints.

Another question: best value modern film point and shoot (with flash)? Was considering contax t2 but they ain't cheap. EDIT: Looked around this and other threads as well as flickr, etc. Prob end up with t2.

heres a list of solid 35mm point and shoots with average prices that i see on ebay; canon af35m ($30), olympus stylus epic ($100), yashica t4 ($200), leica minilux ($250), ricoh gr1 ($350), nikon 35ti ($400), nikon 28ti ($500) personally id check out some thrift stores before you buy one off ebay. i found an epic, af35m, and two ricohs for under $5 a piece thrifting.

edit: there's a lot of other great point and shoots out there (xa, konica big mini, etc), this list is just some of the more hyped ones

  2. got a roll back today from ritz. those bastards forgot to scan the last 4 pictures.. gotta go back tomorrow and get them to do that. all of these are from my olympus stylus with kodak ultramax 800.

i always forget that the stylus shutter speed only goes down to 1/15. even with 800 iso film and decent lighting this picture was still super dark.

  3. today i got a roll back from my canon wp1. first roll ive shot with this one. the view finder is way wider than the actual picture so a lot of the pictures were more tightly cropped than intended. also a few of the pictures had some weird shit going on with them, some black lines and some weird haziness -- might of been some water inside the camera or something. lots of pictures of my girlfriend and the beach, as always.. shot on kodak ultramax 400.
