  1. just wondering since there are already fakes for nudies and i hear apcs, are there fakes out for brands like flathead?

if so, what would be an easy way to differentiate? i hear some people make really similar fakes.

If for some reason you do come across a fake, of any jeans usually, the main differences that I have seen are usually in the waistband, ie. stitching, label, small things like that. Also pay attention to the way the back patch, if there is one, is attached.

Hopefully you never have to come across fake FHs tho, that would be really sad.

I know people used to come across fake Evisus in the past, and lost a lot of money doing so:(

  2. had a nice thanksgiving break full of eating, drinking an relaxing.

Woke up well rested on Friday morning and got dressed for a good, calm day:

Was able to get out on the dock and fish a little bit.

Afterwards I made a Sirloin Sandwich with my favorite tortilla chips and organic salsa. Paired it with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale :)

  4. My first day back in Texas since August was pretty great, I even had some time to try to save an old pair of Red Wings that my dad used to wear when I was a little kid.

woke up and made some breakfast. Eggs, Vegetarian sausage, Crystal hot sauce, mini wheat cheddar biscuits, black berries and strawberries, coffee.

Had a phone interview for an internship over christmas, but afterwards, I started on my RW project.

They were in pretty bad shape:

I put some boot oil on 'em, but they soaked it up too fast.

I went out to eat with some friends, an got my hair cut. after wards, I came home and put some mink oil on the Rws.

In the end, I think the ended up ok:

After dinner, I decided to make a dirty martini. They always taste better at home cause I get to use Dripping Spring Vodka, made in Texas, not available in BAMA:(

The end result is always the best.

  5. I must sweat a lot or something, cause mine always smell like old sneakers after a couple months. no harm tho, I've learned to embrace a warm soak to rejuvinate them.

Glad to hear you have had good luck with your finns! One of my favorite cuts, too bad I am too big to pull them off.

  6. I get on a plane to home for thanksgiving break, and I miss some of the coolest fits I've seen yet! very nice Cheap, Lando, Z and Kixslf.

Here are my crappy clothes, and I was way underdressed for a wet 46 degree morning.

  7. Well i have 8 month old apcs never washed and i febreeze them every month and they smell fine ;)

but if these are different i guess ill cold soak every couple months when they start to smell

haha, For some reason, Nudies start to smell earlier in my experience, haha. I know people that wear jeans for a year with no wash, so your apcs are prob a-ok. But my joes started smellin after 3 months, while my jean shops were fine after 4 months of wear. weird, I know.

    good luck!:D

  8. awesome thanks, and do they lose their shine after 1 wash? not planing to wash anyways in atleast a year unless something happens to them

I hope you plan on doing soaks b4 that year is up. I wore my RRDG for like 5months with no wash, and I almost died in them. Now I soak my Joes every couple of months, no harm, no foul.

As for the RR situation. I might agree with you getting a 34 SCDL, but just make sure they are tight when you get the.

If you need the 34 for the thigh size, go for it. Just know that you might be pulling these up all the time once they stretch out.

  9. What size of Regular Alfs should I get if my true waist size is 34? I have huge thighs ( 12.0).

I say get a 33 or 32. They might be tight at first in the thighs if you wear them at your waist, but the top block is so big, if you get a 34, you will regret it.

For selvedge, I vote 33, for Greycast I say 32.

    good luck.

  10. Very nice! I love the details that the added to the already great Sportster for that version.

By buddy just traded in his '09 Sportster for a '10 Wide Glide a couple weeks ago. I'm excited to drive his new bike in a couple of weeks when I make a trip out to see him. I still think he should have copped one of the Fat Boy Los, but whatever, it's his money, haha.

  11. They were a "Line Dry" one wash when i got them, wrinkled as hell. It never came out through wear. I was really pissed about these when I received them off their website back in the day...but I grew to really dig the way they aged. it looks nuts.

I think the crinkles give them a really cool look. Something you don't always see on worn denim. Nice job. Didn't know ESs could look so good:D
