  1. thanks george, am aware of the code just trying to ascertain if these are early made in valencia st lvcs.

there's also a batch of 555 made in US LVC with japanese text tags, what's the difference between them and the earlier 555 made in us valencia st, other than the tags of course.

    555 is the Valencia code
  2. airfrog - very very nice 1917s, the hues are definitely different from most if not all the japanese repros that's currently in the market.

i myself am quite keen to get a pair of the 1915s when they're out, still no word from Dejan though.

  3. hmm then i don't really recommend it unless you're ok with a snug fit on the waist and then let the jeans stretch back out. having said that, the DOIS is comparably much baggier in the thighs than the SDA 101s i have.

    im ususally a 34 on sda's
  4. they fit ok on the waist for me but the thighs are too baggy for my liking. Cutting is similar to SD-101, what size you usually wear for Studios? If it's W32/33 you should be ok.

how do you size those? can they fit me?
  5. blast from the past...pair of vintage Studio DOIS Lot 0295 W32 L34 from way back. Take note of the many details which is not found in Studio D'Artisan jeans today. Looking to let go of these for USD300.00 shipped, condition practically brand new, these are one wash and fits slighty baggier in the thighs.

  6. sorry if i was jumping to conclusions but i was following this thread and from the comments posted on this thread it did seem to me that raw PBJs (XX-003 and XX-005 specially) are not that easy to find. i could be wrong you know but i thought i just give a heads up anyway. :)

tough to get raw? well i dunno but Hide-san set me up with a pair of 007s raw real quick
  7. i got a pair of XX-003s from Hide-san that time and it came one wash and as far as i know it's pretty tough to get raw PBJs.

so that was a heads up for those interested to get raw PBJs.

ermm, sorry I ain't get u, do u say that around 4 months back Hide was not providing the raw unsanforized one? thanks in advance...
  8. guys (and gals), if you want to get raw PBJs now might be the best time, ordered a pair from Hide of Sharpservice and the pair that came was raw, unlike one wash the last time round which was 4 months back i think.

  9. thanks for the reply paulo, sorry i didn't make my question clearer.

what i meant was are the ones in the auction no.1 special because they do look like the typical no.1 special patch and if they were released at the same time as the 2504 no.2 which had the fisherman patch.

the fisherman patch is definitely not used anymore, agreed that the stitched seagulls are quite rare, have only seen two examples before. will try take pics of a pair that's with a friend and share with everyone.

Not sure what your question really is. LOT numbers are the different cuts of denim. The NO.1, NO.2, and so on are the different types of denim. So cuts and denim types can be mixed.

As for the patches it varies the two older ones you mention are only found in the older garments however thats not always the case.

Lastly the guls can come in 3 different types. One is screen print, two is hand painted and three is stitched. As always they vary depending on the buyers choice and stock at the time. Though finding stitched guls is fairly rare in Evisu japan items.

  10. there's only a crotch rivet, no hidden rivets of any kind as lildavid said. again, these are sweet, go cop!!!

these warrens are only like $130 bucks(or less), so for anyone looking to cop a pair of ''starter denims''( i hate the term myself) should grab these immediately. same 1000xx denim as the contest jawns, and if sized down a bit they could potentially fit similarly to the 660,no? no excuse to buy APC and Nudies with these on sale! i see the price of the 700s&800s went up to $275usd now. to be honest, you cant go wrong. bunga, i've never seen a 'hidden crotch rivet''. can you let us see what that's like?
  11. yup malaysia just like pomata said, i'm wondering myself how the manufacturing process was delegated among the 4 brands but the selvage is like Evisu #2, blue and yellow lines.

bunga, wtf do you live? those are superbly faded already. i'm wondering what kind of denim is used, and if so is it a multi-denim jean? if i found these, i wouldn't wear them since they aren't anywhere near raw, but i would hand them up from the ceiling like an art piece.
  12. thanks for the advice guys, appreciate it.

i agree wholeheartedly with what rnrswitch said, if it's a straight cut then it's meant to be worn that way. i'm a true 32, i have a pair of s5000vx 17oz in w33, they're not too baggy by all means but perhaps could be a tad more tighter in the thigh area and with other denim such as Denime XX, Warehouse Warrens etc i found that 32 fits me the best, not too snug on the waist and just enough room on the thighs and knees to allow me to bend down and tie my shoes without having to suck my gut in and hold my breath.

    32 it is then!

  13. hey guys, just want to clarify that i found the jeans but i didn't actually bought them, the owner had offers upwards of us400.00 but still not willing to sell them. he's kind enough to let me take pics to share with the rest of the world though. =)

personally, i think the multi-color arcuates on the backpockets and different button flys are very nice touches but yea, the 4 red tabs is a bit too much...reminds me of a certain hypebeast Levi's line which is shit in quality but still have kids salivating and paying stupid amount of moolah for it:rolleyes:

thanks Lendo, i've also discovered couple other pairs which I think is rarely found, will share once i get back from vacation

amazing pair of jeans. How much were they at the thrift store??
