haha no, i guess you're one of the few people here who would understand the meaning of my nick, it's actually my DJ name - kinda jokey but its memorable eh?
like i said i'm lucky since i don't have to use public transport or work outdoors most of the time so i guess i'm still pretty ok.
just posted a pair of Levi's 502 this morning in the evo thread, check it out.
haha im doing good, thanks for asking.are you girl or what? your nick sounds so girly.
anyway, KL is so hot lately and force me to rotate my jeans everyday since i dont wanna sweat a lot in them.
what are your jeans? i saw one of em in evo thread and they look awesome!

agreed with deusvalor, been going to singapore regularly for the past 10 years, many a time kids will just stare at you from top to bottom but i'll have to say that the service of most retail outlets have improved a lot over the years.
sucks that Queen's Couture don't bring in Sugar Cane anymore. =(
its true, retail assistants generally determine if you're a serious buyer from the way you dress - whether their stocks fit into a person's aesthetics (or lack of) and whether their pricepoint matches your budget.it could be a consequence of our window-shopping habits, just desensitizes them to potential customers i guess.

too true, luckily i spend most of my time indoors and i drive so its not that bad but it is good sometimes to get your denim dirty and sweaty, essential to get a good fade i'd say.
usually i'll try and go without washing for a long time, if you air your jeans in the sun regularly, it's just the smell that gets to me haha.
in times like these i just leave my raws on the shelf or save it for a cool or rainy day, so i don't have to wash it so much as a consequence of the heat.alternative solution is to get a car

hi scoki, like you said it is humid and sometimes TOO DAMN HOT to be wearing heavy denim especially now with a heatwave that's expected to last until September (godamn) but i guess we got used to it. =)

would love to hear from other heads around this part of the world!

thanks grouse, appreciate your kind words -there's around 4-5 years of actual hard wear, around 3-4 times a week for the first 2 years then maybe once or twice for the remaining 2 year but i haven't been able to fit into them for the last 4 years? haha, blame middle age creeping up on me.
it seems that certain batches of the 502s fades much better with a dirty yellow tinge much like vintage levi's that i always love (but can't afford).
haven't bought any new denim for quite awhile now except for a pair of Studio D'Artisan 103s and Pure Blue Japan XX-003 which i hope to break into real soon!
scaught - good job on the pbjs, i've seen lots of really great ones on the forum, that's what sold me into getting a pair.

iamdavoice - damn! those watermarks on the lower legs is beautiful, IMO that's the hardest part to get nice fades.
Here's my 'retired' Japan LVC 502s zipper fly - i stopped wearing them about 4 years ago since I've ballooned from a size W30 to W32/33. =(
Constant wearing for the first 2 years, 3-4 times a week then sporadically 1-2 times a week for the next 2 years, altogether about 4 years of wear. Multiple washes but I remembered the longest that I didn't wash them was about 18 months.
The backpocket and the right knee has developed some holes but i haven't been bothered to repair them. Enjoy!

I.T. - love the abrasions and honeycombs, the 501s still look very 'dark' after two washes, nice! are they Japan or US LVCs?

ahlvahroe - thanks a lot, really grateful for this!
hope they still have stock in my size =)

been looking for them for ages! would you mind telling the exact location of the real mccoy osaka store? a phone number would do as well. thanks in advance.
i found a pair today! multiple actually. it seems like they have quite teh stock in the real mccoy osaka store. i didnt pick up a pair cause i have my heart set on the sda wrangler repros.the feel of the denim reminds me alot of the denim used on the '66 lvcs. they had em at a decent price point too 15000 for the ones without arcs and 20 for the ones with.

still suprised how the levi's knockoffs fade so well.... i gotta get one
rxtim, actually they're not knock-offs, from what i've gathered from some of the more knowlegable collectors, Nylon have some connections with Toy McCoy/Real McCoy but they're out of business already, making getting a deadstock raw pair a challenge indeed.
from what i can manage to find out, there's still leftover stocks in some outlets in japan, anyone can confirm this?

hi everyone, this is my first post. =)
This is a pair of Nylon jeans that I picked up from a Bangkok flea market 4 years back and one of my favorites. I have another pair and the fades are just as nice, if not better. The denim was still pretty dark back then and they've been 3 or 4 washes ever since. The last wash was about a year and half ago.
Additional note: Found info about this pair, the model no is FN083 XX Type 14.5 Oz
Now i'm on a mission to find a deadstock raw pair to break in.
Hope you all enjoy the pics!
Leather patch, very similiar to Levi's down right to the fonts

@stewie - just constant wear over a good period of time i guess - i do wear them to see gigs, clubbing etc just plain running about i guess. oh and i wore them to go swimming a couple times too so i guess that helped lol.
@demonito - now that's dedication! not sure how hot it gets in manila but it's pretty much a furnace right now over here, i can just sweat sitting at home watching TV with my fan on full blast. i don't have the balls yet to go up to 21oz, you mind sharing with us some pics?
