  1. glad everyone like what they saw, i think the previous owner must have repainted the gulls at some point, they should have disappeared completely by now.

salaami - will try take pics of the rivets tonight once they're dried up in the sun, they smelled too funky so i put them into a lukewarm soak overnight - the water turned brown yellow!

repainting gulls - i think if the jeans are still not too worn out then its ok to repaint, but if its already well-faded i don't see the point as it'll look jarring having something completely new on something old and worn out. need to get my #1 special and 2504xx painted, thinking of red and yellow gulls....

  2. Can you get a picture of where the zip needs repair? Mine needs some too! Right at the bottom the zip fabric is almost totally ruined.

ok will do that in a couple more days when i'm back to pick up my 2504xx after it's been chain stitched.

CTB - the store with many of the Evis jackets closed early today so no pics but here's some Evis porn to tide you over with.

The most insane beat-up pairs of Evisu i've came across, its a pair of Evisu (small e on the red tab) #2 Lot 2001.

  3. it is quite pricy unfortunately and its not exactly deadstock, there's been some wear but the jacket is still in remarkably good shape save for the zip which needs a bit of a repair.

    looks fantastic bunga ++

unfortunately $350 is a little pricey for me. i was thinking somewhere in the $200 range but thanks anyway--guess its deadstock! beautiful jacket definitely.

    also great pickups.

  4. thanks =)

will probably wear them occasionally for that special occasion or two, right now concentrating on breaking the pair of #1 Specials that i got recently first...

The 2504 is unhemmed but the 2501 had a bad hem job so i took them to re-chain stitched them.

The other pair of 2504xx is currently getting chainstitched, hopefully will get them back soon so i can take some pics.

    I'll have the 2501s, fankooverymuchly!

Seriously though, nice denims. You planning on wearing any of them now, or saving them for a rainy day?

And have they been hemmed or not?

  6. [quote name=Mine hasn't got any tags but i can see the outline of where the leather tag should be. I would of said i would take the jacket as im not that keen on going out with mine as the daicock is abit bright but mine cost me £18 and i think even deadstock $350 is abit much.

Im amazed someone dropped 4k on those thought. Would love to of seen some of it. I need some deadstock Evis bits.[/quote]

I can see the outline as well of where the patch used to be, if it had one. you're lucky to find one for so cheap...Evis is hard to come by over here and most time even if you find a pair they're probably in such a worn state that you can't really wear them anymore.

i'm still regretting not taking any pics earlier, thought that with such high prices they would been on the racks for a long time. not taking chances, going down tonight to take pics of the jackets at the store before they're gone as well.

oh and thanks for the DS pics of the jacket. + repped =)

  7. i dont really have that kind of money right now unfortunately....bought a bunch of vintage denim last month (couple of evis, will post pics later)

there was this local thrift store owner who had 8-10 pairs of vintage evis, everything in near deadstock condition including a pair of rare no.1 special 2504xx with stitched gulls, someone came and dropped us4k on the whole lot before i had the chance to get some pics :(

he still have some jackets, will try to drop by tomorrow evening and take pics to share.

  8. thanks ben, it's ok don't worry abt the rep =)

i'm thinking about the jacket but at us350 its a bit steep, cond is dead nice though, one more thing - there's no inside tags whatsoever for some reason.

lmaozedong - it is a 38 (my size) but the price is kinda expensive (see above) - let me know if you're still keen and i can try to speak to the owner and see if he can bring the price down a bit more.

  9. those two auctions that paulo posted is sick...i'd imagine if they were a bigger size the prices would definitely go sky high....35,000 yen is definitely a reasonable price for these, if you can find them in DS condition like those in the auction...
