  1. Got me all excited there, but all I could find is a 31 right now...

Is it worth it to try an soak it? I am like not even a quarter inch from getting the top buttoned up.

  2. nope. you gotta sell them then and buy a new one

Well in that case, if anyone is interested in a pair of 31x36 S710xx only tried on, let me know.

Overseas returns/exchanges (with language barrier added in) would be a nightmare.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

This is what makes buying jeans online so hard, but when you're limited to what you can get in your city, makes it even harder....

  3. I was looking through a different places yesterday for a jacket after seeing the 25ox Samurai jacket, had some problem with pockets that you do, and came across this one. It is a type II jacket, but the price is nice and can't go wrong with Sugar Cane. The price is nice at 15,540 yen. Will strongly consider getting this in the fall.

  4. I´m looking for a pair of FH and I need help with the fits. My perfect fit is slim but not too slim. Perfect fit for me is the APC New Standard.

What is the flat head more similar? F310? F380? or another one?

As Danny said, I would go for SE05BSP. Had em, and were great denim, would definitely purchase again.

  5. Spent the last night, and this morning going through this thread. Just wanted to say, damn good work from you guys, love seeing all the home made denim, and even the shirts. Some of these shirts are on point!

This has given me the motivation to start learning how to sew, and work my way up. Don't have anything special, just using my moms Singer 404. But it seems like a nice little machine, and has the zigzagger attachment with 4 settings, and the button holler which I thought was quite nice! Taking some advice from this thread and going through the manual, and just learning about this machine first off, and playing with all the different stitches. Hope I can pick up enough from my mom, and my self that I don't need to go into a sewing shop for lessons or anything.

But I can surely say this thread is motivation to try my hand at some projects.

  6. they have. just write him and he will get you a pair

edit: but then 2nd is also trustworthy, you just need to write with a translator (google or so)

Awesome, decided to go with 2nd as they had 31 in stock and ready to go. I have zero jeans at the moment, so looking for the quickest option.

  7. ^^^^^^ (apparently I can't post properly on certain computers)

Been seeing your posts in lots of threads, and just can't stop admiring those boots. Absolutely amazing, best boots I've ever seen.

Looking at a pair of S710XX, and wonder what I am looking at for shrinking. Thinking maybe 31, as last pair of denim (N&F, yes awful absolutely awful) was 29, 31" measured. But just not sure with the shrinking how I should be looking at for sizing. Sorry to be one of those people...

Not sure if anyone could give me a hand on this, and is it safer to be buying them through Suto or has anyone had experience buying straight from d-stock, 2nd.

  9. Cheers. It had never occurred to me it was expensive. Considering the additional man hours required to sew this over a regular pair of jeans, and it's genuinely a one man operation, the price seems fair to me. Plus, with Ande you get what you pay for.

When it's worded like that, I can totally see it. But just forked out 700+ for new jeans, boots, and belt.

  10. I just wanted to post up that we are having a Railcar Denim Contest! The jeans used in the contest will be the RDCX013. Its a 14oz 100% cotton Japanese red line selvedge. We have enough to make about 20 jeans. So there will be only that many spots in the contest. We are going to make all of the jeans made to order in any Railcar men's and women's fit! This will be a great project to follow. The same denim fabric in different fits, different genders, different adventures, different care treatments from different locations from all of the world. It will be very interesting seeing the difference in fades and wears. Winner will obviously get a price. Judges and prizes to be announced.

We picked the 14oz denim because its a good weight to wear year round. Also not too heavy for women's in the Viper fit. Dark indigo so for nice contrasting fades. The RDCX013 will also have some other details not even found on more expensive jeans.

Picture shown below is me making the prototype here at the workshop. More info on our site.

Got to say I am super stoked on this. Steven, and Celisse were nothing but positive and willing to answer my every question. Also had the opportunity to stop by the shop, and see how everything works, and was awesome seeing the production side, after 4 years on the consumer side.

Will be posting my fit when the x013 come in! Also think I may have convinced my girlfriend to get a pair, so just going to wait for her to get back from vacation, and grab some measurements.

  11. Bradl,

You could hot soak them with some wood in the waistband to stop them shrinking or wear them in the bath - they won't shrink smaller than your waist while you have them on! After the soak you can pull the waist for extra stretch too.

The whole sitting around in soaking wet jeans for 5 hours doesn't sound very appealing. What would I do in that time, would ruin my sofa and my bed.

I was considering doing the wood in the waistband, but the cold soak after the 1" stretch looks like my best option. Won't be getting heavy wear over next week, but hopefully enough to stretch it out just enough.

  12. hmmm you can try that. or do do a variation of what kiya suggested. i would probably wear them while they were still a little damp until they dried. but definitely do a cold water soak for like 20mins like kiya suggested

Awesome, truly appreciate the responses, and being nice ;)

Will come back in a few weeks and post pics before and after.

  13. hmmm. i'm afraid even with that everything else will be too skin tight.. you might have to exchange for a size up

I am comfortable wearing tight jeans for awhile, as I wore apc ps for 3 years and at the start those were some of the tightest things I have ever worn. All I am worried about is the waist being horrible.

This may sound dumb, so excuse me and feel free to laugh, but can I put a spacer in it while they soak, or something to that nature?

You can either exchange for one size up or wear them raw for a few weeks till the waist has stretched about 1", then do a 20 minute cold water soak and let it air dry before wearing.

This sounds good, as I have no pants to wear (all crotches are blown). Will do that, thanks!

  14. Just got my pair of SE05BSP in today. Going to do initial soak in a bit here. Everything fits quite nice right now, but the waist I just can't get the top button done up. So really skeptical as to soaking the waist. Should I throw them in some mild water and as they're damp throw then on?
