  1. Anyone know how n. hoolywood sizes its shirts? I'm an XS in everything and I just found a polo of theirs I want on Yahoo Japan in a size 38. Normally I'd just ignore it but the measurements show it would fit. Worth the risk of the guy being an idiot and measuring wrong?

    36 fits XS

n.hoolywood in general is asian sized--that is, the sleeve and overall lengths of the smallest sizes are appropriate for guys around 5' 6" - 5' 9"

the casual wear tends to fit small and quite short. the cardigan i used to own and other sweaters i've tried on fit tight in the shoulders and trim in the chest with relatively high armholes. there are some anomaly pieces that fit loose and boxy in the chest but still maintain the same shoulder sizing.

the formal trousers and shirting have a more relaxed "classic" cut. the blazers, however, fit just as trim as ones by dior homme, balenciaga, and the like with narrow shoulders and substantial waist suppression.

keep in mind this is coming from a du who is ~170cm, true 44 with decent sized shoulders. my dress shirt from fw09 with the two-tone cutaway buttons fits immaculately and is one of my prized possessions.

the size 38 polo might fit you if you have a bigger upper body, but keep in mind it was likely intended to fit tight and that the 36 would probably give you the intended look.

  2. Damn, didn't realize those boots were perforated. Still cop or wait for the white hiking boots?

Just email them and see if they'll order a white pair for you. I like the perforated ones a lot though... looks so future-classy

  3. i just can't seem to get on this whole denim thing

my 511s fit me perfectly, and i can't find another pair like it. if i i could find, i'd definitely cop (has to be deep indigo or black).

iirc acne max kinda fit like that... low rise with pretty slim but not too skinny legs

thinkin about koppin a pair today actually lol

Potentially devastating news for Raf Simons: as of today, the designer's namesake company and its global master licensee, Futurepresent, have suspended business relations. In an email sent out this afternoon to all Raf Simons clients, Futurepresent CEO Stefano Martinetto announced that the business relationship will be suspended for the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection, and that all buying appointments were therefore cancelled.

"It is with great regret that we are obliged to announce that the collaboration between Futurepresent s.r.l. and Mr. Raf Simons will be suspended for the A/W 2011-12 collection. Unfortunately we therefore have no choice but to cancel all Raf Simons AW 2011-12 appointments at our showroom... We can confirm that we will proceed with the SS11 production deliveries. In the mean time we thank Mr. Simons and the present and past members of his design team for these years of intense and inspiring collaboration and would also like to take this opportunity to express our extreme gratitude for your support from 2005 until today."

Raf Simons is scheduled to show his Fall 2011 offering tomorrow night 9:00pm Paris time. According to reports from company reps this will still go ahead, but one can only assume that with all buyers' appointments cancelled, unless a third party steps in, the collection itself will not go into production.

Conspiracy theorists searching for distress signals won't have to look far – Raf Simons' Fall 2011 show is named Dead Prince College, and the invitation bears the words "FALL OF THE PRINCE".

in my opinion this, hands down, is juun.j's best collection to date. someone mentioned how this is a redux of his most popular works--well in this collection, we see the strongest f/w pieces juun.j ever produced, outlandishly re-imagined and reworked to insanity. this is perfection. i can't get over the cuts, the fabrics, the leather, the fur, the leather, the fur...

having come to terms with the fact that no american or european stockist will get any size 44's, i WILL preorder at least one piece from this collection. i'm sad i missed out on so much from past seasons but glad that i held out for so long, 'cause come fall 2011 im gonna finally get what i've been waiting for all this time
