And what's Beijing w/o Peking Duck... this particular duck is roasted with fruit wood, it's tasty

well.. depends on where you live.. I got them @ the Shanghai airport for $168 RMB each.. and that's already a bargain in my books as I couldn't get any in Toronto..

I'm going back around the end of the month and I sourced a place in downtown Shanghai where I should be able to get them cheaper.. I'll be getting them by the dozen next time.

For those who don't know, these are called Chinese Mitten Crabs, and they are amazing..

time was short, so I had to make it worth it.. so not too much pictures on this trip..

first order of business.. went to a steamed bun place... pure crab meat inside.. it was pure blessing.. along with 5 RMB beers..

Walked across the street for some of the best pan fried buns in Shanghai

Went to another restaurant to get the fish I've been craving for as well...

also got a bigger steam bun that has pure crab soup in it... the fish is special because the cook took out all the bones in it and basically the whole body is edible without worrying about bones

Next morning, grabbed some breakfast, excuse the fog on the lens of the camera..

and then did some shopping, got some more massage.. and got back to Toronto..

went to dinner, had foie gras and duck breast again..

after dinner, attempted to get a bike to ride back and do a roundabout around the arc, but Spain won, the roads became really dangerous

took the subway

got back @ the hotel around 11:30 midnight..

woke up @ around 7:30am.. went down and had one of the best buffet breakfast.. simple yet tasty fresh grapefruit juice, awesome runny scrambled eggs, pear slices, peach slices, apple sauce, dried sausage, dried ham, prunes, croissants.. i chowed down 3 croissants..and a whole bunch of other stuff

went to the bakery and got some croissants and baguette to bring back to Toronto and also got 2 bottles of Wine

It was a great 24 Hours

prepare for intensive multipost day

24 hours in Paris..

Arrived @ CDG @ around 9am

Got to the hotel @ around 10:30am

Waited in the lobby to get a room until noon

spent half an hour in the room to do some last minute research as well as a nice shower

12:45pm, got a bicycle.. started riding around Paris..

Saw the arc, rode around the streets, almost getting killed every minute by traffic

had lunch around 2pm.. Blue Ribbon Ham, Duck Breast, Gran Marnier flaming crepe.. found a fd from Toronto who happens to be @ Paris as well on FB and set up dinner appt

walked around Champ de Elysee..

got thirsty, bought a Heineken becoz it's cheaper than water

got really tired, slept in a Park for an hour while enjoying the weather..

@ around 4pm.. rode the bicycle to around Rue St Honore, went to a few nice shops, did some window shopping..

started riding back @ around 5pm.. got back to the city, went to McDs for a frappe..
