unfortunately, I will be purchasing the jeans in HK, and will be heading back to Canada shortly.. I won't have time to soak and then bring it back for Hemming.

I'll just make an estimate.. I just want the inseam to end up around 34-35 inches.. I guess if I don't throw it in a dryer/put it through an extremely hot wash, it shouldn't shrink much.

they are sanforized, but that doesn't mean they don't shrink at all. it depends on the sanforization process.

2 inches seemed to be a lot though.. that's just about as much shrinkage as a pair of S5000VX..

Now I need to think how much I should hem on the pair of 5010 I plan to get next week...

i just soaked mine and they shrunk to ~35 and im about the same height as you, i think the stacking is fair nothing crazy looking

i thought they are sanforized.. they shrunk 2 inches??

but both being 14.5 oz denim, how does the quality compare to each other aside from their raw/sanforized properties

what is the difference between No. 1 and No. 2 denim..?

ah_long - don't all denim shrink? even sanforized shrink too, not alot, but they still do. based on my own experience, if you want the no.1 denim, look at BiG site's and the shrinkage are as follows. a tapered fit? the evisu 2000 is a pretty tapered fit, but im not sure if youre looking for a skinny cut. if so, then the 2000 will not work.

i'm going to Japan in 2 weeks and I would like to pick up a pair of Evisu's..

i'm looking for a more tapered fit, any pointers? which ones are Japan only, I am mostly interested in those.

Another question, do Evisu's shrink after initial soak? if so, how much?

they are pretty slim.. but not nut busting slim..

it's the same cut as XX-005 from Pure Blue Japan, in fact, it is manufactured by PBJ..

if you could go to the store, they have a bunch of pre-soaked T5-002 in various sizes for fitting..

I originally wanted a pair of 31, but ended up with a pair of 30 because of the slimmer fit...

in terms of size availability, it's best if you could email/call Take 5.. I am not sure what's available
