...while doing a damned impressive headstand!

Thank you very much for that, loving the western! I guess it is a bit more fitted than the workshirt!? If you wouldn't mind- what size chest are you and what size shirt did you order? the fit you have looks just about perfect to me!
I'm roughly a 44 chest and that's a Large shirt, same as my other IH western. And yes, my understanding is that the westerns are more fitted than the work shirts.

Here's the best pic I can find right now:

I LOVE that shirt. I don't have any experience with Samurai's shirts, but IH's shirts are phenomenal.

Quick & dirty update:
Probably a total of 4.5 months wear, 3 hand washes

Could anyone also compare the 710x to a different cut of denim?
I'd say they're very similar to the Iron Heart Beatle Busters, but with a slightly lower rise.

Quoting from the IH-forum
There's NO POSSIBLE WAY that I can resist a pair of 710's in the 25 oz denim. Guess I better start saving now just in case.

Finally took some long overdue update pics today. Unfortunately these aren't fading as quickly as I'd hoped (2-3 days per week doesn't create much in the way of dramatic fades, who knew ). Nonetheless:
These will actually be seeing some rare physical work over the next week or so, after which they'll see another wash, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I may see some results.

Is the 25 oz Samurai denim 25 oz post-shrink or pre-shrink?

...and with agitation.

That denim gets me every time. Just amazing...

Sorry if this has already been covered, but is Samurai going to continue making the 25 oz denim? Perhaps in more cuts?

Goddamn it Aries, I meant to +rep you!!! Sorry.

I like all you crazy Europeans. Ribs and Schlafly on me anytime you're in St. Louis.
Surely these blokes deserve some 4 Hands or Urban Chestnut at least.

For me, quality of construction and ruggedness of materials is extremely important when spending this kind of money on clothing. The only way I can justify these prices is if I know I will be wearing these clothes years and years down the road, that they'll still be with me like an old friend. And of course the cut has to be flattering, they have to make me look good, I need all the help I can get. Iron Heart kinda originated the whole heavyweight, rugged ethos, at least to me, and their clothing (shirts especially) fit me well. I do like the character and quality of Samurai's denim as well, and my 710's fit like a dream, but as far as overall quality goes, IH is tough to beat, and even though the denim doesn't have as much character as some others, it's still some of the best denim out there. Even their "boring" regular 21 oz denim is fantastic and will always be one of my favorites.

^ Wow. Too bad IH isn't making that denim anymore.

Any recommendation in which pair of PBJ i should get? I'm retiring Sams and was wondering if PBJ is a good choice after Sams. Should I also choose between Flathead and Iron heart or is PBJ good too. If so, please recommend some popular cuts and unique fades
I own PBJ, IH, and Samurai jeans, and they're all great. PBJ is closer to Samurai than IH is, IH is generally a much smoother, softer, and less slubby denim, but you won't find a better quality pair of jeans. PBJ is known for having slimmer thighs, so be careful with that. If you're going for unique fades, I'd look at the xx-007 or the similar model with the cobalt weft (not sure of the model #).

Yeah I own jeans from both brands, so I know the general differences, I just don't own either of their 25 oz denims. I had heard that the 21 oz and heavier Samurai denim was a lot less slubby than their 19 oz and lighter denim, so I was wondering if that meant they were closer in feel to the Iron Heart 25 oz denim, and which was more breathable. It looks like the cut on the 25 oz S5000 might work better for me than any of the 25 oz Iron Heart cuts, but I've heard nothing but over-the-top praise for the IH 25 oz denim, so I'm torn.

Does anyone who have received the 25 oz Samurai's also own the 25 oz Iron Heart denim? I'm curious to know the differences in texture and breathability between the two.
