Yeah, it's pretty fantastic. Giles says he's planning on making an indigo/cream as well, which might be even better.

Pretty similar fit, but I think the SEXIHXLSXA13's are just a touch slimmer from the mid-thigh down and have a lower rise. They've been retired for the summer since the HWDC2 ended, but now that it's starting to cool off a bit, they'll be in rotation with my 666-XHS soon.

Just picked up a pair of 666-XHS from IHUK. This moment is long overdue...
These remind me a lot of my SEXIHXLSXA13's when they were new. The denim is so thick and rigid and dark. I didn't have quite as tough of an experience as some people have, but this denim is no joke. It's going to take me forever to tame these things. Next pics will be after a soak/wash and a full day's wear.

The beatle buster will actually end up being far tighter in the thighs than the 633s in the same size.
Forgot to mention that he would need to size according to waist measurement rather than tagged size.

You need narrow waist big legs little taper
From those pics I'd say you need a pair with more room in the thighs and seat, so a longer back rise.
In short: try another cut
The Beatle Buster cut might work perfectly.

IMO, the most important thing about Iron Heart is quality. As long as the quality is there, I'm happy with them making whatever they choose (there are many things they don't do that I wish they did). I certainly like the idea of a lighter weight version of their 21oz denim, if that's what the 14oz denim ends up being. I live in Missouri, the summers here can be ridiculously hot and humid.

a customer came in the other day with a pair of Strike Gold 5109 with a year of wear and about 6 washes and it looks pretty crazy for 1 year.
Are they still there? I'd love to see more pics, especially full front and back pics.

I can answer a couple of those questions. First, if you want to see how the 17 oz denim fades, check out pics of the S5000 cut which uses the same denim. Second, the 17 oz denim will easily stretch back to the raw measurement in the waist. Third, the denim is fairly similar in terms of character and slubbiness. Hope that helps.

The 5105's shrink A LOT. They stretch easily enough, but if you're on the fence between 32 and 33, get a 33 for sure. The waist stretches easily past raw measurements, but it's not so easy to get the thighs stretched back out. I went with a size 32, and they shrank way more than I expected, and they are slimmer all the way down the legs than I was hoping. They still fit, they're just a lot slimmer than I was going for with this pair. I wish I would have went with a 33.

I have the 710's and the 21oz Beatle Busters, both in size 33. Other than the higher rise of the Busters, I find the fit to be pretty similar. Max Power may be right about the 18oz version (I have no experience with those) but surely the fit can't be dramatically different from the 21oz version.
The 21oz denim doesn't have a lot of character, that's just not what the 21oz denim is about. Having said that, as much as I like other denims that have lots of character (other than my 710's I also own PBJ's and a pair of Strike Gold 5105's), the 21oz denim is sublime. It may just be the perfect denim in terms of comfort, color, breathability, heaviness, and durability.

There's a few on the Iron Heart forum, but yeah it seems like a lot of people haven't gotten around to it yet.

I will miss wearing these jeans exclusively, but I have other pairs that need attention. I LOVE these, though, and they will be in my rotation for years to come. It looks like I'm sitting the DWC out this time, but I will certainly be following it just as enthusiastically as I followed HWDC and HWDC2. I'm just going to spend the next couple years being a denim slut with my 5-pair denim harem.

Mpukas I think if you wore those an inch or so lower on your hips, it might improve the fit from the thighs up.

Ande. Are those jeans your regular 13.5oz denim? Look great.
I agree. Fantastic denim.

Farmer! Haven't seen you posting here in a while. Your PBJ's were epic, looks like your 710's are on their way as well. How are they holding up compared to the PBJ's?
