for $200 that is pretty much a great purchase given that you receive a sort of customised fit. good buy.
the real important point however is that you really should be showing us your collection of engineers!

Thx for the info ranon! Did you size up 2 on S01XX? what your normal size on other brands.
post one wash measurements is appreciated
I went one size smaller than my regular LVC sizing on these.
FWIW:
Eternal 811 (31)
LVC 47's/66's (33)
Skull 5010xx 6x6 old stock (31)
Denime 66xx (33) <-- only because these seem to fit small
Warehouse 660 (31)
Ooe Yofukuten 02 cut (32)
Hellers Cafe hc-035 (31)
Roy x Cone (31)

not much left to say but don't taper them (again). fit looks good, you can try a small double cuff with high cut chucks to see if they work out.

"this will be my last jean purchase in a while" - aho (2012, dec)7

came home from work to mine today.
picked a W32 and L32 (but hemmed to 29.5")
measurements BIG style as follows:
waist: 16.25 inches
front rise: 12.25 inches
back rise: 16 inches
upper thigh: 12.75 inches
knee: 10.0 inches
hem: 9.0 inches
inseam: 30.0 inches
no pre-soak fits but my impressions are:
- sizing is pretty much what i expected, not too loose or tight although i won't be taking too many risks with the waist. chart has been pretty accurate so far for me
- denim is very dark and has slight irregularities in the weave which i like
- construction is great and very clean on these with hardly any errors
- raised belt loops
- arcs are very flat
- double red "devis" tab on the left of each pocket
- green-cast stamping is definitely a nice touch
will try to get some pictures when i can.
big thanks to taichi-san, drapygo and aho for this. looking forward to wearing them.

i am probably taking that horizontal stitch off.
surprised they havent reached me yet even though im in asia. probably today or soon...
anybody care to share on the accuracy of the sizing chart based off raw measurements?

said "congratulations and good luck" to this guy who was leaving the company. gave me an awkward smile.
only realised later he was asked to leave from the job.

not sure if there's a heller's cafe thread here but a couple of weeks ago i picked up these heller's cafe HC-035's. something really different from what i already have with regards to the cut as well as the construction details. really pleased with these. the aged copper rivets were a nice touch but my favourite feature has to be the size and shape of the backpockets. very useful. haven't soaked them or anything yet since i have too many pairs for my own good but will provide an update about them again when i get the chance to put them on. colour is pretty accurate on these.

got the chance to take some pictures this morning. the backpocket fades are from the creasing on the double lined duck fabric that i opted for. favourite feature has definitely got to be the pocket puckering.

thanks for the initiative on this drapygo and aho. really appreciate the coordination work.

my 5702xx's are showing very minimal wear in the front even though they are the only pair i wear exclusively to the point where the crotch has blown. must be the character of the LHT denim. some wear on the back though, which is probably a good indication of how they will look if i persist with them.
will get some pictures this weekend to add to the thread.

holy shit. the waiting time for O.Y jeans are 5 months now?
they look great, is that the only option for their leather patch?

hey S-Town thanks for the heads up on J-Clothing. Junichi was a pleasure to deal with. got my transaction settled within 15mins of sending an email. the price for shipping was really reasonable as well. will look to them for warehouse in future.

whos sitting out?
check out the list on the first page ed...

is sizing the reason why so many of those who initially said "yes" are sitting out?

i went same size as my LVCs in a 32/29.5 since they're a shrink to tagged size.
i think im the same size as aho so im probably pretty safe.

here are some post hot soak 60 degrees and spin dry measurements on a pair in W32.
measurements BIG style as follows:
waist: 16.25 inches > 15.5inches
front rise: 12.25 inches > 11.5inches
back rise: 16 inches > 14.75inches
upper thigh: 12.75 inches > 12 inches
knee: 10.0 inches > 9.25inches
hem: 9.0 inches > 8.5inches
inseam: 30.0 inches > 28.25inches
i haven't really tried to stretch these back out yet but they will probably have approx 5% stretch at the tight spots. 1.30am now, seam ripped that stitch across. i think i am really going to enjoy these jeans. definitely best $200 purchase in a while.
also, to those who haven't done their hot soak/wash yet, try not to do go too high with the temperatures. the patch seems to not react so well with the heat. almost fried mine but pulled them out in time. softness of the patch feels like deerskin but i highly doubt it is. anybody know what kind of leather patch this is?
