Big thanks to Ed and aho for getting this going, and, again, to every expressing words of encouragement after yesterdays mild crisis.
mild?

eric, good to hear!
how did it manage to get to you despite the wrong address?

Just spent the past 90 minutes with the people of the U.S. Postal Service and it looks like my jeans have "fallen off the back of a truck." They were out for delivery today, but then not delivered. There's no return scan, the package wasn't brought back to the post office or identified as undeliverable. I initiated an investigation, but in my experience in dealing with USPS, these never pan out. Barring some miracle re-delivery tomorrow I may not be participating.
Ed, you may want to start preparing an insurance claim as there's a strong likelihood these pants aren't making it to me.
sorry to hear about this. i've had a similar experience happen to me (although i don't reside in the US) except that their response was a meh "we don't know where it went and we're really sorry about that".
the good part about that though was that they eventually showed up a number of days later and when i called back to follow up, it seemed like the people who handled my call didn't know that it was delivered either.

i'll give it another shot ed, thanks.

should have done cold water then boiling water then mix it and feel with your hands. if it's too hot for your hands, it's too hot for the patch.

sorry to hear about that mes, did you hit them with boiling hot water?
here is an updated fit pic of the 50's. i've updated the original post with post shrink measurements. i gave them a warm soak and then a full wash spin dry, no dryer. pretty sure i didn't lose all the length in the inseam but they will probably remain this way since i don't think i will ever dryer-dry these babies.

#33 checking in. finally headed down to the post office to pick these up. big props to ed for getting them out to me. additional pics here of what has already been shared so far.
pre-soak measurements > post-soak measurements (size 31 measured BIG style)
waist: 16" > 15.25"
front rise: 11.5" > 11"
back rise: 15.5" > 15.25"
thigh: 12.5" > 12"
knee: 10" > 9.5"
hem: 9.5" > 9"
inseam: 30.5" > 29"
chainstitch run off at the waistband is a very nice touch, very happy with these, top notch quality! these are really stiff at the moment and i'll do a hot soak and spin and wait for them to settle. hopefully they lose 3" in the legs and not the waist, ha! pretty much the spot on fit i wanted so im really pleased with them.
ps: awkward pose aside, the self timer on the iphone is really a huge plus!

mine arrived yesterday but nobody was home to pick them up.

while i think we all want to lay our hands on these beauties, i believe ed is already doing everything he can to get them to us as soon as possible, so lay him some slack already! we all know how shitty customs are...
i am curious though on whether there is a final list of people who purchased these?

i know that feel ed, it's a pain in the ass to do a size chart..

The patch is looking great. Awsome work from Heaven.
Also, I like the two tone-stitching. Didn't notice it before.
I'm gonna wash my jeans like crazy.
now that's a picture to start your day right.

So... Thursday morning I did my accounts and contemplated my credit card balance. Thursday afternoon I discussed with Lady T whether I could justify more denim... she urged me on, I said I didn't think I could do it.
Then Friday morning I got notification a payment I've been waiting for since 31 Oct finally arrived. It was a sign.
I got another sign this morning, a tax bill, but sod it.
My Full Count are 32 tag, as are my 55501 so I reckon that's what I'll go with (both circa 39cm now). Thighs are 28cm on the LVC, 25cm on the Full Count, so on that basis I should be ok. If anyone reckons that sounds badly wrong, please yell. INterested to know what the Roy x Cone peeps went for?
hi paul, for what it's worth now, i was a size 32 in the RxC's and went for a 31 in these. the RxC's still fit perfectly but looking at the sizing chart for the TCB's, i think a size down would probably fit me similarly around the waist. as with my experience with japanese-made/measured denim, i seem to always be able to go one down from the cone stuff (ROY's or LVC's for that matter).
what size did you go relative to your RxC's for the TCB's?

congrats shooter!

great fit Jambon!
I might need to pick up my fourth pair of OOe's
what are your other two besides your contest pair, slab?

i was just looking through a bunch of used jeans in my collection and i think apart from the wear patterns on the ROY x CONE jeans, the fabric on the 811 simply blows everything out of the water. the way the 811's fade and wear out are pretty phenomenal. might have to consider another pair further down the road.

sorry for the bad lighting. thunderstorms all around right now. been wearing these 660's for a while now and i love them. going for the huge cuffs look.
i don't think these were meant to fit so loose from knee down but im a considerably short guy so i had to butcher quite a fair bit off resulting in the loss of taper and i'm perfectly happy with them this way. the denim is pretty much second to none imo. certainly not my last pair of warehouse.

^same question. i used to be able to select the option to be the one paying the fees but in recent months/years it seems to have disappeared on me.
on a sidenote, i have to definitely agree it is a sick patch (as much of a dog person i am), eager to see how it looks on leather.
