I bought them raw. I prefer raw over one washed. I machine wash them cold on hand wash settings. From what I remember, it took two washes to get all the shrinkage.

Good find hoggreaser. Too bad Devis doesn't have that type II. I would rock that with my D00XX year round.

My size 16 white pepper measures 53cm pit to pit. Using speedway method is 52.5cm. Hope this helps.

Which Neal shirt are you looking to get?

@double o soul
I agree with Speedway's recommendation. You should go with large/16. After wash, the chest measures about 53cm.

I think most of us are used to BIG measurements. Can't compare BIG method with Denim Project's directly. The way DP measures the waist makes the it seems larger than it is. Once Drapygo posts the raw measurements, we will see how much the denim shrinks.

I like an early WWII pair with crotch rivet.

I asked someone with a size 32 D00XX to measure his pair using BIG method and this is what he gave me (raw measurements)
waist: 34"
front rise: 12"
rear rise: 15.5"
upper thigh: 13"
knee: 9 7/8"
leg opening: 9"
inseam: 38"
I don't think the waist will be oversized. Looks like a typical 40s repro measurements. If inseam only shrinks 2", I think the waist will probably shrink 1.5" to 2" max.

I normally take a size 32; besides the waist being 1 inch bigger the rest of the measurements seems in line with other 40s repro jeans I own.
Now the dilemma for me is whether to hem or wear them with cuff.

No I don't but I have been eyeing a pair of TCB50s ever since I saw it on Blue Gear. Slugabed has a pair of TCB50s with NOS cone denim.
Here is another pic of TCB60s

@hoggreaser
TCB is basically a jean sewing factory. Whoever is behind Cut and Made collaborated with TCB to make jeans for them.
I am not 100% but I think TCB also made one of Devis jean a while back.

i'm guessing the two fits they refer to are the 50's and 60's cuts offered by TCB?
Unfortunately there's not a lot of info on the Cut and Made site. I don't think the cut is 50s and 60s cuts, I believe the cuts are more modern. Denim is different from the TCB jeans as well.
TCB is the factory label.....they are mostly producing jeans for others.
TCB also did a limited run of the 50s cut in NOS Cone denim a while back. I found out about it too late...all sold out.

I am glad Hickoree's is able to bring Freewheelers to the State side and Hickoree's Freewheelers prices are same as Japanese retail. One will have to pay more if order directly from Japan (with shiping).

601XX is based on 1947 501xx. There are plenty of fit pics on Japanese sites that carry the 601xx.
