I know it can be frustrating when you try to figure measurements. You are size 34 right? I would not go down two sizes. It seems the denim has the potential to shrink a lot and the waist is oversized compare to the rest of the measurements. I also remember the weft and warp are made of different cotton source. So the shrinkage might be unpredictable. I say contact Keiichi from McFly since he has the one wash model available and ask him to measure the jeans using the method you are comfortable with.

FW has English speaking staff. I met one of them at Inspiration last year.

My size 33 measures 18 laying flat. 2 to 2.5 shrinkage is probably realistic. It seems it is slightly oversized.

The one wash model only comes with 32 inseam. The raw model has a 34 inseam.

Mirrorball has measurements and shrinkage info including hang dry vs using a dryer.

There's also a 601xx 1939 model coming soon. It does not have a cinch. Not sure how different it is from the current 47 model. It does have a lightning arc.

I bought directly from Neutral via proxy when BF first mentioned them in the Unknown Japanese Brand thread. Not wearing them yet so I have not soak them but here are the raw measurements (BIG method)

Size:32

waist: 17.25"

front rise: 12.5"

rear rise: 16.75"

upper thigh: 14.5" (this is not a typo, it is this wide)

knee: 10 5/8"

leg opening: 10"

inseam:37.25"

I like my S301xx but I have not soak them yet. Cotton is from Cameroon. I like the feel of the denim and the construction look great. I'll get to them someday.
