  1. Unborn 130 jean.....lol.

How many washes have those logwood dyed 130 gone through? They look great.

From the pics at Unionmade, the black logwood dye doesn't seem to pentrate the leather as much as the woad dyed version. Is it just superficial and will wear off easily?

Edit: your faded 350 shirt looks great as well.

  2. Amazing 15th 1001XX.

    1003 Test Sample vs 15th 1003XX

PerterParker - I've seen other Japanese denim brand reproduce that in their WWII model as well. Not as exaggerated as this one. I think it has more to do Warehouse reprodcuing a pair of WWII with those details (tilted red tab and the misaligned stitching). Vintage WWII 501 has a lot of variations depending on whether it's the beginning of the war or towards the end. Also qulaity control during those time was an issue as well.

  3. Arcarsenal - I basically pick the #21 fabric based on the shade of the indigo and IMO #21 has just a right amount of irregular warp threads compare to other fabric I was looking at.

As far as sizing, my true waist is about 31.5" and I went with size 33.

  4. Is there a particular year you are looking for? Fullcount produces the 1100 once a year. There are only 200 pairs per run. The denim and details are different from year to year. It would be difficult to track down a pair of 1100 from last year or before. Youmight get lucky if you find one on Yahoo!jp auction or something like that.

  5. Ok. The 700XX is 13.7 oz pre-soak so it can't be the 15th 1003xx denim which is 14.25oz. I can't actually find any info that says it is indeed the 15th 1001XX denim but that's what I remember when it first came out last year.

Arcarsenal - looking good. Interested in the post soak measurements as well.

  6. I believe so... the 700xx uses the 15th 1001xx. This is what I recall when they first came out. I could be wrong about that.

    15th 1001xx is 7x7

    15th 1003xx is 7x6

    The current 1000xx is 6x6

The test sample 1003xx is based on 7x7 denim but different.

  7. I am quite tempted but I must resist. To be honest I like the new 1000XX more than the 1003XX. The thing is I have quite a few pair sitting in my closet right now including the two WWII models, 700SWWIIS and the 15th 1003XX. I just can't justify getting another pair. I am feeling like a hoarder right now looking at my denim collection.

  8. For some reason, the flat blue 1003xx denim sort of reminds me of the original denim that the Toyo made for American soldiers based in Japan back in the 60s....the one that the SC Star jean was based on.
