in Vancouver people are morons with the skytrain. shit goes a lot smoother if the people exiting are allowed to exit and THEN the people get on. but noooo they just get all pushy.

I also hate giving up my seat to people who clearly are not old enough to be in the age demographic where giving up a seat is the polite thing to do but still act as if they were. if you are in your forties and I am sitting down, first come first serve still fucking applies.

fucking dumb ass school library circulation desk receptionists forgot to check a book I returned in until the next day, now I've got a fine on my account and won't be allowed to graduate until I sort it out or take it the ass metaphorically and pay it. my friend, who wanted to be a doctor, told me that you dont get paid as a doctor until you're in your 30s

after med school you have to do residency and barely make anything. After you're done with your residency you can either work for a hospital or start your own practice

if you start your own practice you build up a clientele (people go to their preferred doctors and dont switch much) it limits your mobility. Meaning you cant move from LA to SF because then you will have to rebuild your clientele

yep, this is pretty much how it is. both my parents are(/were) doctors. however, my mom was able to retire before 50, and my dad has his own business, so it worked out for them

they load properly now. they were fucking ENORMOUS, like 3 times the size of my 22 inch monitor. and my computer is amazing so I'm not that worried about that.
